    It's very apparent that QI is merely trying to take advantage of the novel's momentum for monetary gains. With the novel drawing to a close (one more major arc), both old and new readers will be tuning in, compelled to spend all their SS to finish the novel.
    It's quite obvious that there are multiple novels hosted here that requires new translators for both speed and quality, yet they choose to translate a novel that from start to present has been hosted on WW.

    klack2 we finished tling MK long ago (December). Not sure why the updates stopped but I will check it out. Feel free to tag me in anything EFT related in the future (even a missed update for a day). As for Epoch, I believe there are also translated copies but I will get back to you. Honestly not too sure about the Epoch backups.

          lord007 i just care about it from the moral point. it seems like qidian was a snake oil salesman when it made the deal with wuxiaworld. i find that wrong, special because they are so huge; wht's the point of being so petty and so gluttonous? they are still way ahead of wuxiaworld and others, and the market seems to be big enough...

            WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I find the statement funny when they say they hired WW, when in fact they only jumped the train on English translations after the novels became really popular through different sites like WW (which started so so many more years ago than the Eglish Qidian branch which is not even 2 years old ).. so basically the "little fishes" translating for fan or sponsor purposes opened up the path to the sharks as they smelled cold, hard cash.

            I am truly glad that we get to read the novels translated, but please do not twist facts, of compensating people for their business ideas to hiring. If those novels didnt open up the path for QI, neither you nor the chinese novels would have such an easy pathway here right now. Its lacking in respect to "burn bridges after crossing". As they do say in some countries.coughs
            Thus said, please put more efforts in your own translations or new novels, rather than take already done or half done novels with a steady release.

                  litarius not really a competition. Qidian is a behemoth who shouldn’t even feel threatened. They have countless amazing novels they could add but instead choose to do everything in their power to suppress its competition and rather than add more novels just steal what other people have. Because of this their reputation is in the gutters but because of their sheer size and resources they can still keep going and make a decent profit. After all no one wants to stop reading their stories even if their tactics are despicable.

                            UnderTaker26 I agree that their fight with WW has greatly harmed their reputation, but if the books they're hosting in China already legally belong to them, then they should be able to host those books here without having to fight about it. My argument in favor of Qidian is based on this. I got into Chinese novels though WW and still use them, but what I care about is reading the books they're hosting, not them. The same is true about Qidian. So as long as what they're (ww or qidian) doing is legal, then i will continue to read from whichever source is 1. Legal, and 2. Faster. Sorry for being all over the place, I'll elaborate if need be.
