I noticed this when I was posting a comment on how a character created a few objects in one of the latest chapters of Release that Witch. Maybe it has something to do with kissing (mak*ng out), but I don't really feel like that merits a censorship. Maybe I'm not hip to the newest slang and it has become something terribly dirty, but I doubt it. If it's a word most native speakers learn before even going to school, I cannot see why I can't type it on a discussion thread.

Probably same reason why "freedom" is censored in the comment section... for some reason. I don't know if anyone actually knows why some things are censored.

There might be some phonetic swear word that sounds like that in china, but considering they don't really censor real swear words or stuff in chapters, I don't really get it.

100Grand That's probably because the writer of the comment themselves inserted the asterisk into the word so that the entire word isn't censored.

Shameless7kim It's an old joke. Somewhat racist, but a joke nonetheless. For full details we'd have to check out how the western media portrayed China before/after the privatisation movement.

F*ck. Fudge. Fusion. Flush. Fap. Frappe.

Ohh! it's not censored on the forum!

Making in chinese sounds like 'rape', so maybe that's why

But then again, I really like to made up random fact for ignorant fools

Maybe they were making sure that people wont say the other word of sex, which is making love?

Tugster I live in Shanghai right now, and I have never even been given a second look using the word. I teach in some of the schools here and none of my students (8th graders at the height of immature giggling at stupid jokes) bat an eye when I say or write it. The fact that Qidian has yet to even address this after the thread being up for a month also makes me question things even more.
