Hello, I've been writing a novel previously and now it is already completed with 183.21k views. what do i do to get paid? thank you so much.

Jeantee I'm not sure if completed novel can get a contract, and sadly even if you get contracted, you won't be able to get the MGS system which is to get paid $200 monthly by releasing 1 chapter per day with minimum of 1500 words for 4 months. The only way you can monetize your completed novel are by getting gifts from the readers after your novel has been signed by the editor and going premium and locked the chapters of your completed novel.

I'm not sure if your novel will be put in trending/potential starlet because your novel is completed. Without those two promotion, you will hardly get a new readers. So the only way to get new readers is by promoting your novel on your own.

Iqfauli Please stop spreading the misunderstanding.

MGS is about releasing 1500 premium words daily. You can do it by posting 2 chapters each with 1k words (you can go below 1k with premium chapters) or you can write 1499 words chapter and top it off with another 1k to cross the 1.5k words. No one is forcing anyone to write 1.5k words long chapters.

listen_moon lol, you want that guy to be your mentor. That guy is the biggest A hole on this site. Write a ticket to admin directly so they can answer ur questions. Or go to the writers Discord.

listen_moon Sure, ask for whatever you want. I will help for as much as my knowledge allows.

Chad_Eldridge I'm, as you nicely called it, "the biggest A hole on this site" towards the:
          - Entilted kids
          - Abusive/insultive idiots
          - Those breaking/not reading the forum rules/regulations (especially about self-promo)

Pick which category you do belong to yourself.

MotivatedSloth Thank you so much buddy. But listen I wanna tell something. Plz read carefully
We are newbies on the platform so we are not experts in dealing these things. Just writing novels to grab more and more audience. Just give it a thought that isn't it unfair to those who are just new and dunno anything. I accept that we should follow rules and regulations strictly but banning someones account may be a big discourage. So, plz will you warn before banning as your senior than us. Hoping for positive response.

listen_moon Question: When someone plays a game, or joins any form of a team, event, etc.. Isn’t it common sense and courtesy to read the rules?

All the major things(monthly promo and swap threads, the Rules for the forum, etc..), are all pinned at the top of the forum for convenience. I understand that newbies are excited to get their works out there(honestly, we all are), but I personally think it’s selfish to jump into something without reading up on it a bit(AKA the rules). They are put in place so that everyone has an equal opportunity on here, and to keep the clutter down.

Those that don’t read the rules of things that they voluntarily join are like those tourists that go to a foreign country, then get pissed off because they can’t read a menu. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I agree with Sloth..

listen_moon I have no authority to ban at all. Just as someone mentioned, I'm not a forum mod/administrator. But no, whenever I see something that balantly infringes on the rules, I will tag the mod so that they can do the job.

I don't know what your parents/society/family/school taught you about life, but here, if you can't be bothered to play by the rules, then you are not going to play at all. It's that simple.

Also, ban/tempban/mute on the forum has nothing to do with writing on the site itself nor being able to participate in the community on the discord. Just keep in mind - news spread. Act like an entitled newbie on the forum and your fame will spread on both discord and the site before you will be able to change your nick or make another account to ward off some of the negativity.

What's more, I will say it once fucking again. If you are detered by the amount of negativity I present to others, then you are better of dropping your writing, as I'm worried you will seriously start considering suicide once readers will get a piece of you. Then you will understand why what I'm doing here is akin to a friendly nudge in the back rather than the trashing you will be subjected to once a salty reader will catch a whiff of your blood.

MotivatedSloth Don't worry, I am not someone without brain. What you said totally is correct if I sounded rude back, then would like to apologize .Thanks and ya will need your help in future. And am a positive person so for me criticism is more important than encouragement so thanks again.

listen_moon Sure, I apologize on my end as well. Your post sounded slightly patronising and it ticked me off. If you look through the forum, you will see what I need to deal with nearly on a daily basis, hence the reason why my fuse is so short here.

Additionaly, I think I saw you suggesting to create a discord server for newbies - It's just my personal opinion, but I would heavily discourage doing so. If you enclose yourself (or others, its general-oriented point) withing just other newbies, then misunderstandings and misconceptions will start, soon will turn into rumours and then its a short way before everyone in the server will believe in a load of crap. Saw it happen more than a few times back when WN exploded on wattpad market. The best way to do, in my personal opinion, is to just join Inkstone discord server for authors. Once you get verified (mods check whether the novel you linked is real, is active and so on) you get access to the best writing server when you can interact not only with other authors, but many contracted authors as well, not to speak about having an easy access to CE were a contract problem arise.

listen_moon no problem😁 If you need any writing resources, check out the InkStone discord for writers. There’s a Writing Resources channel that is full of useful stuff, plus a bunch of other channels that the authors and editors post helpful things in. I go there at least a few times a week for helpful tips. Plus the authors are pretty cool when it comes to any issues you may come across that the pinned information doesn’t pertain to.

The editors also hold occasional seminars on various subjects for both contracted and non-contracted authors. It’s very helpful. I wish you luck in all of your future endeavors.
                        ☮️❤️😁

MotivatedSloth Thanks actually I was pissed off tomorrow would like to apologize sincerely and will give your advice a shot as well.
