  • Would you read a story if the MC was a mouse?

An0n1m0u5e Sir you haven't heard of Re:Hamster.... your Idea had been done before and has been huge success too.... (though I need to point out that Re:Hamster is on 18+ side with lots of hardcore snu~snu~ and "Dark spear to the face"(The attack he uses in a fit of anger which results in some gory scenes.)

Sexual Content
Steeve was a weird guy, he hated his world, and proved it by killing hamsters in the funniest way, but bad luck for him he died in an equal stupid way.

And as he did, the hamster God who was bored reincarnated him as a hamster in the world his pantheon govern, the twist? He forgot to turn of the hero system, and so our protagonist is now a super hamster, who decided to follow the path of a demon lord and made a mess of this world in vengeance!

WARNING:

This story is about a EVIL protagonist so there's a lot of EVIL in there!
Also there's a lot of 'mature' scene so be wary of that!

WARNING TAG:
VIOLENCE, EVIL, SWEARING, SEXUAL CONTENT (somehow disturbing), FRENCH!
(for some reason... french is a dangerous tag) https://royalroadl.com/fiction/3063/rehamster

UnhingedTaboo Hm, seems interesting. But I don't think I'll be getting too into the gore aspect, and I'll probably not touch an the evil part either. I was gonna go with that this mouse was from a family line of mice, but totally unrelated to humans, or reincarnation and the like. That's far too done in my opinion. Though I do still love stories like that myself.

An0n1m0u5e How about Ratatouille-esque(with somewhat intelligent animals) story line and instead of modern age you go back to the primordial one with no human domination(they are still half monkeys at max) and the rat is just a normal rat in long line of rat living his 2years worth of life with his family happily before a meteor struck earth and everything changed(animals and half-monkeys started evolving at a rapid pace)... there will be no qi or external force nor any system endowed to them... just pure evolution through survival of the fittest. It will be chaotic lace.

Or you can go on a different route and take Stuart Little as an example to make a light hearted comedy(no involving of humans.... they live close to a farm) with a cheese obssessed father and a rabid mother that he has to take care of. while finding the love of this life with some cute Snu~Snu~ (cuddle in this case) while perched on a tree while his asshole friends and brothers give him vulgar look from a far and the MC need to not let his squeeze meet or see them.

UnhingedTaboo You can name the first idea "Attack of the killer Mice" and the second one "The Squeaky Legacy" (as he will create a huge legacy by the end of your novel... by that I mean kids... lots and lots of kids!!)

As long as it's well edited, and has character development, I'll read it. Dumb antagonists are the only thing I dislike. If the MC is squeaking through his enemies, I'd rather them be at least as smart as him, so that the fights have a result that isn't 100% guaranteed at the start.

I would if the story was an adventure type, but aside from that as long as it's an interesting story or plot with character development I'll read it.

An0n1m0u5e I would recommend you to read 'Everybody Loves Large Chests' first to see how other authors handle a monster mc and still keep it interesting.

Firstly, you shouldn't think like a human when writing your character. Your characters interests should align with it's nature. That doesn't mean it can't have it's own interests outside it's nature tho. Also, monsters or animals don't use human morals and values. It can learn what they are, but that still doesn't mean an animal would use them if it doesn't align with it's interests. Morals are just unnecessary constraints. So your character shouldn't be like a human turned animal if you wanna keep it interesting, it should be an animal that slowly gained sentience while still keeping it's instincts. Ofc, as your character grows it can learn from humans and even pretend, but that still doesn't mean it would want to follow their morals and values if it's constricting it's nature. Also some things that your character likes doesn't have to make sense from a humans point of view. For example, the mc of Everybody Loves Large Chests defines things it likes as 'tasty' while things it doesn't like as 'not tasty'. Shiny things are tasty, learning useful magic is also tasty, eating humans is really tasty! Getting stabbed is not tasty at all!!!

Warning, Everybody Loves Large Chests contains:

          Gore, Profanity, Sexual Content(quite extreme)

Mc is not evil, but of chaotic allignment. After all, it is a monster. Also evil and good depends on the point of view of the one doing the judging. There is nothing wrong for a monster to massacre a village and eat everything to fill it's belly.

I love Pinky and the Brain. Make the mc a lab mouse that plan for world domination for it's vengeance. Unfortunately, the world is evolving and the mc need to get it's brethren not to fall behind the evolution. The antagonist could be a cute cat who plan for it's own world domination with it's owner unknowingly ruin the cat's plan, every single time.

I will read if mc is a mouse.
But we also must have funny antagonist. How about a cat?
And the novel title is Tom & Jerry.
Or jerry who get cheat : all mc cheat. Like the strongest system, ai chip, shadow hack.

Daoist2017 How to Break Into a Male God’s Computer - MC becomes a PC, keyboard included. Not Qidian, but can find on NovelUpdates.

Seeing as how Ive already read a similar story about a mouse, yes, I would read that up very fast

lmfao how would mc be a mouse? its not a living thing OP is pretty dumb how can an MC be a mouse?
is he like a logitech g502 with RBG LED? or some mouse for normies?

One of my personal favorite books from when I was a child is called Redwall. Which had the MC as a Mouse in a Medieval setting, that was released in the 80's. Definitely a good read if that is the story you are wanting to go with.

I would definitely give it a try, even more so if you actually do not go straight down the cliché path of "human transformation". That would actually be a refreshing read, seeing how stale and monotonous novels have started to become. Well, most of them.
Anyway, if you'll ever start this project of yours, stay assured you'll atleast have my full support in this.
