Who cares? Why do I get a notification when some rich f**k (or moron) decides to spend a lot of money on a random novel (that I most likely won't even like). Why do they keep spamming my inbox or showing up as a new notification EVERY TIME? Remove this, or at least don't make every single one of them show red icon to my profile as if I have had a reply or something. It's plain annoying, especially when they are novels that I will never touch, most of them have a half naked guy with a woman on the cover, tired of seeing them.

Remove the notification (the red icon next to the profile pic). I wouldn't care if it happened like once a day or less, but it happens like 10 times a day. It's too annoying and spammy.

    I think the notification should be reserved for things that happen to our books. Else it always feels like a disappointment. We see the notification, we get excited that someone might have dropped a review or sent us a stone, only to see another story receive coins.

          After coming back to over 6 notifications from leaving my phone down during work, I've turned all notifications off from webnovel via my phone. I can ignore the mass of messages on the app no prob, but no more notifications at all, for anything from webnovel because of this bullshit

              BrabbitX Same here. I simply closed the tab, went to work and returned to find three more notifications about people giving coins to other novels. Just out of curiosity, I checked those novels. The writing wasn't, well, exactly so spectacular that I would throw in coins at them. But what do I know? I'm just going to mute notifs at this point.

                      It's these kinds a spam messages that make you wanna just turn off all notifications for webnovel, which I suspect is rather counter productive for webnovel's goals.
                      You want people to be reminded of the app so they spend more time on it, get hooked on more books, and spend more money. But if you annoy them too much, the reverse actually happens. As usual webnovel's pr team or whoever is in charge of this stuff is sh*t.

                      I thought I'm the only one who thinks this notification is getting irritating because I happen to not open my apps too much but when I open it, it has soooo many notifs and it turn out to be this, hahahaha, I don't think it's important to share to everyone about what others reader give out, it's their own problem, not others who doesn't get involved at all

                        When I opened the app this morning, I had 14 notifications, with 10 of them being those "super gifts". I had already turned off app notifications for Webnovel.

                        But I'm wondering about the reason why those super gift notifications seem to be getting more frequent. Could it be that people are actually getting hyped up about the idea of seeing their name being broadcasted like that, and started to open up their wallets? In that case, we might never see Webnovel turn this feature off 😒 Since it brings money.

                        Of course, it could all be fake, too. Who knows? 🤷‍♂️

                              No one from webnovel staff responds to this issue. Looks like they are keeping quiet as they want the whales to measure their wallets. And flex on everyone while at the same time annoying everyone.

                              To be honest, I was worried that there would be ping after ping, but I can already see the enthu going down. I feel unless a top author is doing some kind of promotion, this wont get much traction and long term, it wont really lead to a significant rise income for either party. We will see but this is turning out just like any other gimmick. They usually die down soon.

                                fantasybliss30 to be honest, this has annoyed me enough, that even if I get notified about this only once or twice a day, it would be annoy me more n more every day, even if it's only once or twice a day. The normal "events" are annoying enough, as they ALWAYS have nothing to do with me, now having another layer of spam is over the limits of my tiny patience.
