Firenaruto Sorry if you cant pay for hundreds of chapters, but this is not really our problem either, simply put, don't pay and that's it, don't buy. When you can't afford something so meaningless such as a novel chapters (which aren't necessary for your daily life and simply entertainment) you simply dont buy it. We are not really obligued to give you free content, webnovels are not something ensued by the government or something, we are merely writing off our fantasies and sharing them with the public for a price, it is as simple as that. How hard is it to understand and move on?
For sure me and my maa have phones, but the day I am caught reading novels online will be my last day in my house.
The kind of family from which I am does not look kindly to things such as reading online books and the likes of it, this was one of the main reasons I liked using webnovel.
I could just open it up in my laptop on an incognito window and no one would know about it.
For me personally, the option of using the app does not exist.

PancakesWitch it seems unlike me, you in fact have no clue as to how a website or thier hosting servers works or app's
as they have already "gotten" past the anti-pirate system it only took them a day and the posts are everywhere
to change a few lines of code to re-read the pages of the website and the app as you can easily even rip from it via a VM ware system
so once again webnovel has only pissed off readers ( 7 years and counting at doing that very well)
and people like me that have money but its getting to the point I'm happier to let my coins rot, than spend them

Gosh, I feel sad for your readers right now because from my point of view and understanding, the only reason you continue to write or update your novels is to sell them in order to earn money, you are the one who lack emotions and some other shit you wrote about.
I have seen writers with lesser known works than you having more respect for their works. At least they don't treat them as 'Products.'
They write because they want people to read and enjoy their works, not to sell them.

[unknown] i am reading novels on few different sites. royalroad, wuxiaworld, amazon, smashwords and i buy and donate depending on the novel. all those sites have better translated, edited or written novels. if not for 1 novel that i actually read on this site i would have been long gone. and also that novel is also wordpadded and frankly not worth 15-20$ that i would need to spend monthly without fastpasses.
also i discuss "low quality novels" cause you compared price of amazon novels with price of novels on webnovel and somehow concluded that webnovel is actually better site cause of hundreds and thousands of chapters here. except few novels that actually have good story with good translation, editing and fluent english, rest are frankly terrible. ffs most new translated novels in last year and half were sh*tty plagiarized westernized rewrites of faloo novels(or other non qidian novels).

Being an author is a job like any other. Some may enjoy their jobs and cherish it and some are just doing it to gain income.

I bet 30 cents that you actually never worked in your life, that's why you can't understand that just enjoying your work and having some attachment and emotion to it may not be for everyone.
Anyway, there is a contract in place and readers have to pay to read, that's a fact. Having an emotional attachment to your novel is not going to change anything.

well I did the conbient test of having to pay for two novels on the site if all the chapters were paid for I took the novel "Supreme Magus" 1852 chapter and "Blood Warlock: Succubus Partner in the Apocalypse" 653 chapter and that I advise you to read
so for supreme magus all the chapters cost around 7 coins which makes us around 12838 coins to read everything so 300 dollars to read all the chapters
and for Blood Warlock all the chapters are not at the same price the chapters until chapter 300 about 7 coins and after 12 so I put everything at 12 which gives us around 7500 coins 150 dollars
sorry for not wanting to pay as much as on more classic novels the price is 10 times cheaper or even 15 times cheaper and in addition I have the possibility of buying it in a language that I know

She's really an inspiring author. She's diligent, more hardworking than anyone else and she really loves all her work
