Hi I get that people love Infinity scroll, but honestly I am not one of them, I prefer the old fashioned next chapter button, and here is my reason for it.

I read QI novels mostly on my tablet, so I use Firefox reader mode as it condenses the text nicely, it’s a good replacement for when I am not using my iphones safari readermode which I find the best reader mode out there so unfortunately until I get an iPad I am stuck with safari reader mode, however unfortunately at times it’s annoying to go between chapters as you need to open a chapter, click reader mode (sometimes doesn’t work and puts the ToC in the reader mode) and when you finish the chapter you have to close the reader mode go to the ToC, click on the chapter you want to read next and repeat the process from the start and it’s a similar case on iPhone however without the ToC being shown in the reader mode, it’s just a massive waste of time that could be spent reading.

So please just create this bloody old fashion thing.

I could use the Infinity scroll however I dislike the dark mode as I use a blue light filter so at times I have to raise the light on the tablet to be able to see the text as for some reason it is really shaded out.

So once again next chapter button is what is desperately needed!

    Wait... didn't they have an App version so you don't have to use browser? I mean, the browser version is meant for the normal way of accessing the story, and that is through pc. while for the mobile, they made an app to let you connect to Qidan right away and it is made to be read on mobile like a phone or tablet.

      The amount of battery that the app uses is more on the tablet or phone than just simply using the browser which I have gotten used to anyway.

      When I am using an app I only do it with my choice of an app, I tried qi app and dislike it, plus multiple other reasons including the battery one just made me give up on it.

      Also first impressions usually are important I gave the app multiple tries when QI started and each try (updated) didn’t improve my opinion of it.

      Tl’dr: app is shitty and it’s easier and more convenient to read on browser. My opinion!

        You should stop bumping it mate. This would need to reconstruct the main page, mobile page and maybe even the app but it won't be worth the effort.

          Luta the Chinese version of Qidian has next chapter functions so I just don’t understand why the English version doesn’t, plus it is a necessary function! So if they want to increase the user satisfaction it is one of the things that need to be made, whether it takes a lot of work or not, they have the money so they can do it.

              I don't see how it's necessary at all. I for example never even use the page, only the app. And you can't say "increase the user satisfaction" when it's 7 people at most (including you)

                  Luta just because others don’t appear on this forum doesn’t mean it’s 7 users.

                  Also there are preferences when reading for different people I for example when I am reading online I like to have the next page for smooth transitions from one chapter to another so that it doesn’t f up my reader mode, I could care less what others think, if you love the infinity scroll that’s your thing I for one despise it (clearly explained in the first post). So if you don’t like this suggestion might as well ignore it like all the other people on this forum.

                      i don't know, we shouldn't make suggestions to qidian, they c ant even implement the easiest wishes of the community why even bother :D

                        Billdoor well from what I understand, the thing that they want to implement the most is a paywall, instead of dealing with simple suggestions like these first...

                          I use the scrolling function on safari and I see no problem with it. except for the different fonts available there isn't much difference between the reader mode

                            X4PPY like mentioned above I use the reader mode on Firefox on my tablet, for the most part I don’t have any issues on safari however I find the screen a bit too small on my iPhone to enjoy to the full extent. I plan on buying an ipad but that will be probably some time next year...

                            Also by creating a next chapter mode it would allow an easier way of navigating as without I have to turn off the reader mode off and use the ToC but if next chapter mode existed it would just transfer to the next chapter and I can click reader mode eliminating a lot of pointless moving about with the ToC and reader mode whether on safari or Firefox.

                                Battery consumption on the app is big? All I use is the app and I find the browser which comes from my phone more draining since I can turn off internet and read offline.

                                Page turn ability which we see on app should be implemented for mobile version. I think that is a great idea. @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL
