Why are all the people in the novels so rapy?

also, wtf with MC raping girls and THEN the girls fall in love with him

I think it should have more rape. Its kinda annoy me when a MC don't rape that bitch, Its kinda annoy me when the MC go all the way to the end of the novel without touching a woman, but still do all other mortal things.
It is not a 'china thing', rape is all over the world, but we (East) are a lot more sensive about it than the West. IM NOT SAYING THAT THEY DON'T CARE, im saying that they know that it happaned all over their history and they keep it in mind so it don't happens again, different from us who embellish our deeds the most and hide all the evil things we have done (and still do, look at the Middle East, all those soldiers raping women there, there even some humanitarian agent that trade food for sex).
About the girl falling in love, welp, you should have already heard that girls like the bad boys, right? So, it is this shit, but to another level.
Anyways, it is a fictional story, nothing to worry or go against if you can simple read another thing.

Sparky Well, humans are rather complex. Have you ever heard about Stockholm Syndrome? Hostages begin to to identify themself with the 'criminal'. Especially if their life is at stake, they adapt by protecting the 'criminal' as a form of self-protection.
There are many complex psychological mechanisms at work. One of them would be 'cognitive dissonance', where you mentally know that the 'criminal' is your enemy and you just help them to help yourself, but on the other side the act on physically helping them makes you 'like' them more. The more effort someone puts into something, the more he begins to appreciate it. Even if it is absolutely not logical. So time is an essential factor here.
Sects use these concepts to 'brainwash' their clients. There are some nice documentation on these subjects.
Obviously this also works when sex is involved. Probably even more easy in a society with magical superpowers. Sex wasn't always as 'holy' as it is now. At times it was restricted, at other times even very young children were mimicking adults.

It is because most of these xianxia novels takes place in ancient times where rape is common and where people thoughts are different a d to some point primitive. As for the falling in love part, most of the times it doesn't make sense. But in ancient Chinese history it is indeed so that when a guy (dude most not be a homeless or they would kill him) takes advantage of a girl such as rape or even seeing her naked the family of the girl will most likely ask for compensation or force him to marry her.

Sythcake One of the first girls he rapes was the commander of an army. She was a strong independent women who had cult-like attachment to her organization. The MC starts a rebellion and turns her subordinates against her. She becomes trapped and has the option to kill all her subordinates to get away, but she doesn't take it since she is a caring person. She surrenders to the MC and the rebellion. The MC tells her to join his group and work as a commander (he needs one for his troops). She refuses, so the MC hands her a gun and says, "Join me, or kill yourself." So she puts the gun to her head and pulls the trigger. The gun wasn't loaded, and the MC becomes shocked at her determination. He can't think of a way to break her strong will so he drugs her and then rapes her butt to try and break her. Due to probably backlash, the author changes the story in the next few chapters. The girl is now someone who was part of a brainwashing program by the military to create loyal soldiers. She had her brain altered to where she is essentially, an emotionless machine. The MC tells her, if she joins him, once he basically conquers the world, he'll find a way to create the technology needed to remove the emotionlessness that was programmed into her brain. She accepts, and is now part of his group.

Sythcake Well, you don't need to understand the underlying psychological concepts to know that it works. To be honest these kind of 'tactics' to brainwash someone were widely in use loooong before psychology became something similar to a science.
Think about it a bit differently... Even though it is a bit twisted, rape is one of the most extreme compliments for your attractivity. In a society where a false accusation of rape may lead to death/extreme social sanctions/jail, someone thinks your body - what you are without all the philosophical stuff about soul/personality, in the most primal way - is worth the risk of getting punished/lynched. Someone finds you attractive enough that he can't controll his/her instincts.
We are living in a society where people post their chests and butts in social media for a shallow compliment, a like and a share.
And don't forget that female instinctive know that pregnancy means they will be VERY weak AND dependent for month/potentially years. So there are some good reasons to submessive instincts in a group where you aren't protected by the highest power.
Did you know that a big part of the psychological damage rape victims receive is due to starting to like it? To avoid pain, the body gets wet and aroused, maybe even leading to climax. -> Again cognitive dissonance, where you absolutely know that you hate(d) it, but your body "betrays" you.
It is sad, but it isn't that rare for rape victims really fall in love with their rapists. Especially if they treat you like a princess normally and avoid even hurting your toenails.

FleetingClouds Haha there is even worse. Mc drugs a powerful guy with powerful aphrodisiac that won't even let him control his own body. The guy goes on to find someone/anyone in his frenzy and starts to forcefully rape another guy since he is more powerful in cultivation. They are not even gay btw! He is just under the influence of the drug and can't stop himself. The other guy is like screaming and shit... Since they are in a defenseless position thanks to mc's 'ingenius plan', he proceeds to cut both their heads off while they are still... connected....... and leave their corpses in that position...
No one gives a flying fck with this scenario and people just laugh. Place a girl in that unfortunate guys position and all hell would break loose in the comments. I would assume being a straight guy in such a situation would be so much more traumatizing than being a girl... And that is the hypocrisy of our current pc culture...
