This feels weird since most of those modern reincarnation novels always have Mc who have something against either America or Japan. In same cases black people.I even read a few qidian novels which has slot of racial discrimination. And also most of those novels have alot of patriotism which is borderline to stupidity. Like yeah so what America has great scientific achievements bit then bam the reincarnated creates something either from the future or parnell world and copes ideas from those countries and says: so what we China are better then the rest of the world. I kinda find this rule funny.

The sad part was being a fan fiction, the readers had some expectations about the character, which based on the comments on the novel, it is hard to please. So you must like the manga first and know the characters well before you pick it.

                            You might just want to use the world if you are not that confident. For example 10.000 years since the 4th Shinobi World War. You have freedom to make your own character for example Nobita Uzumaki. He had a crush with Shizuka Haruno from Haruno clan. However, he had competition from Dekisugi Uchiha from Uchiha clan the son of the 29th Hokage for example. This has some weakness which lost a part of popularity below.

                            The best reason for fan-fiction had huge popularity (check webnovel's original power rank) was they already had a huge fans in the first place. People love Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and many more. It was hard if you say Tian Long for example. Who is he? Is the person a she?

                            Based on the popular manga/anime/film/game you choose, you will get some readers. In example what is the 'reverse harem anime'? Is it popular with your target reader? Naruto/One Piece/Dragon Ball was the spearhead of Shonen manga to the world. It was popular to teenager especially male audience for example. Perhaps Dragon Ball fans already married man with kids who read novels after they finished their work. An office worker reincarnated to a dragon ball world would be interesting for them.

                            If you want to be a professional author, fan-fiction is not the way to go. Webnovel, rarely promoted Fan-Fictions. (Check the Daily Updates or Trending Original Stories) It is rare if we compare to the seer number of new fan-fictions. The IP is owned by someone else, often bigger company. Any contract is just a dream, at best you could make a patheon if it was popular enough. However like the book of author, it is the easy path to writing. It is also popular, even without the additional promotion from webnovel, it is already popular. You may be able to build the pen name if your fan-fictions is a success. You will learn how to write before you really write your 1st novel.
