Sapphire_Ace Iβve also learned that absolute silence is important, it helps me to be alone with my thoughts and really concentrate on the energy I want to put out.

Sapphire_Ace I also write around 1500 words per chapter .I burn out if I write more than a week for one of my books so to not get burn out I write for other books so that I don't get bored. For me when I get burn out means that I get bored, Hahaha .I know is weird but for me that's how it is.So my magical technique of no getting tired is switching up my books .This gives my inspiration and I don't overthink as much as when I write one book at a the time. Also I saw that my inspiration skyrockets .Probably because I have this drive of diversity that makes me come up with lots of ideas for my books.
About the way I brainstorm ... I don't really like to brainstorm to much since the ideas came as a write the chapter.I tried before to kind of plan what to write but the detail changed dramatically as i start o write. So now I just think over all what I want for the chapter and the situations came on the spot as I write.I imagine a lot ....
Hope you can try this method !
As for songs , I feel that with songs I can write more chapters .But if I don't listen to music my one chapter is better than when I listen to music since I can focus more on the words and grammar. But usually, I don't write without songs .My choice of music depends on what I want to write. For example , I am about to write a hot scene m, my favorite song is Hynotic by zella day.If I write a criminal action packed chapter my favorite song that gets me in the mood is Yad by erika lundmoen .To not forget that the songs should be seed up .Hahaha ! I have pretty peculiar tastes. Just me ?
I talked to much ....
Waiting to see how you guys write!

Sapphire_Ace Wow ! We are the same ! This is the first time I met someone working the same way I do ! I thought I was weird... I am glad I am not the single anymore.I feel more normal thanks to you . Love you ! Let's break the system together!

redlady Songs actually help more than Silence, also I at first I started with one story then I think after half a year is where I created the second story, so now I'm writing two stories together.
However they're both BL and maybe too controversial, so I understand why they may not appeal to the general audience ( Since I'm an LGBTQ Writer, I rarely ever share my stories with others because many wouldn't want to read it, even if it's a good story)
Also, I'd like to believe that my stories are for everyone and that they're not typical BL stories, there's more than just romance, when I write I like to add a little bit of everything, there's lotta of stuff in my stories that are inspired from real world struggles, lots of jokes and references because I love memes and many life lessons.
Anyways, here's the links if any of you is interested!

QW_JiHi yeah I noticed I used to like bl anime shows but then got burned out because it wasn't super realistic or relatable even though I'm just a girl lol

Sapphire_Ace I feel you so much on different levels.....I literally wrote 5 chapters on one story and than I started to write the second book ... and after I wrote five chapters for the second book I started to write the third one ...... Now I am having so much fun ! ....even thought it is a little hard to have big visible progress at one book.

QW_JiHi I have a morning routine of reading bl mangas as they update on mangabuddy. That's how much I like bl .So of course my first novel was bl mixed with furry. Hahahah !
I also like to write realistic and put lots of comedy in my novels.
I am in the most unconventional ideas so I guess I will probably like your book.I will git it a try.
I usually write in sprints of 25 minutes. Each sprints generally gives around 600 words and such 4 sprints makes its around 2400 words for me each day.
I also write listening to the writing music. Which gets in the mood to write.
If you have time check out my latest webnovel.

Fantexic For me it never works doing it on time.If I have the revelation I can write few hours nonstop, and if I were to stop your technique will hush my ideas. And if I have zero ideas I can probably stay for 25 minutes staring at empty page.
What I am saying is that I might get bored having a routine and, then my ideas will fly away.
Glad it works for you !
Keep up !

Fantexic I'll think about it if you read mine but only after I post my latest chapter
Edit, new chapter is out.

redlady I do too it has to come from some kind of inspiration but I usually try to think of ideas not necessarily when I'm actually writing it
I handwrite a draft first, which is filled with brainstorming ideas and so on. The structure is still a bit of a mess, but it's more or less the points for the story.
After that, I'll type the story based on the points. It's usually done between 30mins to 1 hour per chapter if I have the draft ready. I don't need to think too much and just imagined the scene based on what I had thought before in the messy draft when typing.
Also, I will listen to music when I'm typing. It helps me to sit for hours and typed the stories since I need to write at least 4000 words per day.
But well, that's just me and idk if it'll work for you. I have been doing it like this for years and so far, it's the best method for me. It takes a lot of time with this method, though, so for people who wanted to be efficient, it might not be the best method.
Hope it helps as reference since everyone is different.

Sorahana I like to take it step by step cause for example because of one line in a dialogue can change the whole story. As I write I try to creat every situation to show something, not just because I want to write one situation specifically. I mean that I can express what I want to point out in different situations. That's why I don't like to be fixed or plan . But generally , I also know where I want the story to head .
Personally writing drafts can slow you down and make you have too many ideas that at some point you don't find the link between them when you want to form the chapter.I went through the same think when I started my fist book.I was so excited that at some point I couldn't write step by step but instead parts of the story .And later when I tried to see the line of the story ,trust me , it was a mess .
I think you should write how you want . But for someone who doesn't have time to write drafts and revise and more drafts , writing it slow thinking it through is easier mentally and you can write faster if you get use to the method. For me , in two hours , one chapter of 1500 word is done and is not a draft .I mean that I don't change anything anymore .Just a little grammar revise and is done.So in a day writing around 4000 word is easier and you have the chapter ready to be published. Also your head will not be overworked.
The 4000 are chapters for different books. So it is more fun .
Here I come again , writing one paragraph .....
Sorahana that sounds like a super legit method, I've thought about doing it before but haven't sat down to do it
