  • PoeticPancake Gave your book a collection 😄

Omg been a while since I've been on one of these. Hello everybody!
If you're looking for a bit of royal intrigue, adventure and a few dastardly deeds try out my story.
My book is Full Moon of the Midnight Sun

“I’m sure I’ll run into Imperial Princess’s trouble again.”
“All of a sudden, I’m trouble. You’re really daring, Lieutenant Colonel.”

Somehow a lethal ominous bloom and a wounded dire wolf find themselves crossing paths through various battles as the politics of their families, the empire and the seven kingdoms ruled by it entangle their lives.

    • anyanwu_miriam I think your novel also has to reach a certain number of words before it can be ranked using votes, I think it's something like 15000 words.

      • Ale_Eonnie Most of the "novels" are honestly just recycled translated stuff and it's not even the good ones. I absolutely hate the idea of. someone staying with an abuser, I always tend to look ahead before reading the full thing. That said, I'm going to shamelessly suggest my own novel lol It's a couple chapters in cause I had to rewrite and take down some parts, bit of a slow burn but promise you won't regret it.

        Here it is

Full Moon of the Midnight Sun

      • @Al_theGenie

        • There are mountains beyond mountain and heavens beyond heaven. (There'll always be something/someone greater)

        • The weasel giving New Years greetings to the chicken (Something/someone is insincere since weasels eat chickens lol)

        • Steal the chicken and touch the dog (To be sly, be engaged in dodgy business)
Those are some of the few I can remember.

        • Sweet_Vanilla553 Hi, I didn't want to bring down your rating so I'd rather give you some advice/a review here if you don't mind. I'd say you have a promising premise but it gets a little hard to follow due to the grammar. If you can able to get an editor, I'm the sure the story will flow much better and you'll have a solid background to develop the actual story and characters. Your synopsis also seems a bit long as well. I gave you a collection so we can swap if you want, I don't mind if you don't give ps. Here's mine, you can check it out once you have the time Full Moon of the Midnight Sun

          • SaxonViolence I also find that for some novels, it's basically the same novel but the character names and occupations for example have been changed. I don't know what's going on there. I think everyone is kinda doing system ones because they're popular, it's honestly easy to get tired of them after a while though.

            • Annran Added to my library, I'm not sure I'll review yet due to the number of chapters for now.

              • Where_Is_Pineapple Thanks for the review. I see a lot a lot of points about how the novel/story is not working too well but I feel as if you haven't given much in terms of where and how I could improve maybe.

The thing is, it's supposed to start out as what would seem to be a typical royal story. Actually, I just couldn't find a better section for the book. It's supposed to be historical fiction but that genre isn't available and just changes it to historical romance. So there is some romance but there's a lot more that happens outside the relationship of the leads. I guess the synopsis could be written better to reflect this. I've always been thinking about how to rewrite it. I just wanted something as a placeholder to kinda summarise for now. But then again, it might still seem generic to you since it's not really your type of genre, that's okay.

I'm not a pro writer or anything so when you say it's college level writing. What does that mean exactly? I'm still trying to play around with writing in novel form rather than scripts but I obviously read a lot so please refer me to what you would think is a great novel in terms of writing style. I always like finding new stuff to read and exploring different author styles. 😀

Although genuinely asking, not being spicy or anything. What prompted you to read the story because you could have just skipped past after the synopsis? Is it because I'm new on here and you checked from curiosity? Did you go into it hoping to find something new? Was it something in the cover? lol Was it some of the other reviews or the the tags. I genuinely want to know, I feel as if this info helps.

                • Renee_Writes Honestly I don't mind either ML or FL as long as the plot is good. Most of the time I have to abandon books halfway now cause the mcs are doing senseless things only to drag on the plot I guess. I haven't been on the site for too long and I'm not really a writing mentor to anyone. I focused more on writing scripts before rather than novels.

                  • Hello everybody I'm a new author on here, I guess there's no introduction thread or maybe I just don't know where it is. But anyway here's my book. If you want power couples, some not so wholesome main characters, royal treachery, some politics and sometimes some eye rolling, smile inducing fluff and dog-food well here you go.

Title: Full Moon of the Midnight Sun
                    Status: Ongoing

                    Synopsis
Kamaria is Imperial princess and is a picture of what this means. She is calm, gentle but also has an elegant but commanding presence. Due to her mother not being the Emperor's first wife, she has learnt how to carry all these qualities and still be humble so as to not outshine her other siblings and upset the Empress.

Sorin is young lord in a noble family who prefers to spend his time serving the army rather than worrying about inheriting his father's title and therefore fighting with his older brother and stepmother. His ruthlessness on the battle field and indifferent expression when in public has earned him quite a fierce reputation.

While growing up, the unlikely pair find themselves working together on countless occasions through the years. Then they're suddenly coerced into a union that will see them through various battles as the politics of the empire and the seven kingdoms ruled by it entangle their lives.
