  • Friend,
Neither your command of the American Language OR your writing style can be greatly changed over the short haul. You need to write—rewrite and then write some more.

To improve your command of the American Language—EE…Watching movies in American or talking with fluent American speakers is good—but for writing—I think that you should READ.

Light novels tend to be—well, shall we say, Indifferent translated. You will pick up broken type American there. It is kinda like learning Japanese watching Anime.

Go to Gutenberg and download some good authors. Both Hemingway and Jack London were known for their simple declarative sentences. Edgar Rice Burroughs and H Rider Hagrid are good writing examples to try to emulate. If you read them attentively, good American will seep into your conscious subliminally.

Don’t expect a FAST change. Ain’t likely to happen. Persevere.

  • WHY can’t I SCROLL through the stories anymore!?! Every chapter or two, I have to call up the Index and MANUALLY click on the desired chapter instead of simply scrolling down to it.

    • Friends,
I started a story recently. I THOUGHT that I had saved it, but I did not.
The Protagonist awakes into a future Zombie Apocalypse. His cheat is that he can “Improve” things. He gets 10 Upgrades per 24-hour period. He saved up 10-Upgrades & upgraded his upgrading ability & now he can upgrade 20 items per day.
He FINALLY gets around to upgrading himself.
He can start with a single screw & upgrade it all the way to a super-stove that can matter-transmute anything into tasty & wholesome food—etcetera…
Kinda a LAME STORY, but I wanted to finish it—at least what there was of it…
God, there are HUNDREDS of Zombie Apocalypse stories to sift through.
      Thanks!

      • I know tastes vary, but the quality and variety of stories seems to be in drastic decline. There are endless stories about "Check-In" systems. People with pets who have RIDICULOUS CHEATS and people with a 50-billion fold multiplier.
How about a few "Straightforward" stories of cultivation like there used to be? Something like "Eternal Sacred King" or even "Cultivation Chat Group" before it went off-the-rails into bizarre kinkiness?
I'm not even bothering to start any of the stories this week.
O yeah, and there is a plethora of stories about the whole damned world called into a survival game—but a half-way good example of this breed never gets picked.

        • Friends,
I know that tastes vary, but lately I haven't been enjoying many of the trial reads. Last week, I only read TWO past the first couple of chapters. LAME. Things are MUCH BETTER this week. I've read every single story up to the limit and I am anxiously waiting for more. GOOD JOB!!!

        • Friends,

In the stories they often say that there are 3300 or 3800 Daos. I can't remember which. I want to quote that meme somewhere, but I want to get it right. Don't know how to quickly check or rzactly where to find it.

          Does anyone remember?

          Thanks!

          • Happy_AltRight I have often thought that the novels are picked well before the votes are even counted.
I do wonder why fresh new Plot Ideas are far less likely to be picked up, than the fifth plagiarism of a HALF-ORIGINAL Plot.

          • Why are stories with FAR LESS VOTES getting selected ahead of stories with MORE VOTES!??
            This has happened twice now.
Aside from getting Fast Passes, what is the point of even voting if they're going to do things this way!?!

            • SharifRadhi I noticed that you replied to my post, so I looked some of yours. It SEEMS to me, that the more innovative and refreshing the story is, THE LESS likely it is to be picked up. We have TWO stories about magic farms and magic transmigrated farmers currently, that are practically carbon copies of each other. There are about eight very similar tales about people training beast with a system cheat—and about three of them are worth reading, but doggone! Then that lovely tale about the Taoist Monk and his magic flying drone and his travelogue system gets dropped...

              • Who hasn't been Sad when a story that they REALLY, REALLY liked got dropped!?!
I SUPPOSE that there aren't sufficient resources to translate everything out there…
But STILL, occasionally I re-read the 40 or 60 Sample chapters of a REALLY GREAT STORY—and it is depressing.
How about, if after…say 12-months…or maybe 18-months…a few of the stories that got the most write-in votes, got another 20-chapters translated and another shot at breaking into the circle?
I'd GUESS that only One in 20 or 30 Storries would get enough attention to warrant a second shot…
I MEAN, some of the DROPPED STORIES ARE TERRIBLE—But how about a consolation round for a few of the more beloved stories!?!?
Anyone who thinks this is a good Idea, pass it on!

              • I make it a point to come by every day and accumulate all possible experience points, simply because I enjoy watching my progress toward the next level on the Pie-Graph on my Profile Page.
IF y'all don't get the Chart fixed soon, I will quit bothering coming by every day. I'll start coming by every few days to see if you have any new stories and not bother with coming up with chapter comments and replies anymore.

                • With the exception pf "My whole class got summoned" type stories…
Has anyone ever read a story where two dudes who knew each other transmigrated to the same world at the same time?
It might give the genre a little freshness…
Especially if they compared notes; both had systems but the systems worked radically differently…

                  • Depends,
Y'all know that circular clock graph that shows how long until you level up?
I know that small things amuse small minds, but I almost never fail to visit this site every day, to watch my minimal daily progress on the graph…
                    And now it is Bolloxed…
I sure hope that it is fixed soon.
There are plans to fix it?!?

                    • What Happened to "Welcome to the Primal Hunter"?????
I was reading it and it just disappeared!!!!!!!!!

                      • Friends,
I've always logged in through "Facebook." Now there is some massive SNAFU on "Facebook." They want me to reset my password or some such tedious bullshit. I don't want to bother, EXCEPT sooner or later "Webnovel" will log me out and then I'll be flapping in the breeze. Are there other ways to log in? How do I switch?

                        • Friends,

Just for curiosity sake, what does it cost to buy the feature that lets you read Premium Chapters? You seem to have to buy it to find out the price.
"If you have to ask, you can't afford it"?????????

                          • Why are my fast passes Vanishing? I used to be able to maintain a balance of 21 or 22—don't remember. The last few days, even though I don't use them, they drop to 18 overnight.

                            • Is there any set number of votes a story in Queue has to Accrue before it can transmigrate into the regular line-up!?!
