Can we have a forum thread for the writing prompt contests, too? It's harder to advertise your book without being able to link your book on the forum.

I feel like this website needs more exposure for author's new works. So, I'm putting a link to my new story here. If you are writing a new story, please feel free to post a link down below as well.

Synopsis:
The World of Loreston was Erick Brighton's favorite Video Game.
He'd become one of the top players and constantly stayed up all night, competing in tournaments and avoiding any real commitments besides feeding his two plants.
However, one night when he awoke, he was no longer in his house in front of his computer, but surrounded by Goblins, beautiful woman, and enough supplies to build a tower from the ground to the moon.
Turning into a Lord, one of the individuals gifted with the ability to create structures, he starts out as a lowly surf as he attempts to climb the social structure from a small, powerless villager into the king of the world!
You technically can't translate a book without the author or publisher's consent. It doesn't mean that people don't translate without consent, however, it shouldn't be too big of a problem if it isn't for profit. Once you make a patreon, or get a huge following, then you might want to ask the author for translation rights. Hope that answers your question.
Phoenixalight We authors realize our females are lacking in development, but it's not easy to make a qualified, competent FM lead in a light novel and make her a realistic person and at the same time fun. However, I guarantee most authors draw from RL experience in one form or another when making characters, so perhaps as men authors we just can't see into the female psyche as well as we'd like, and try our hardest to make resonable discourse with what is revealed on the surface. Basically, writing female characters is complicated, and as an author you sort of want to stick to the genre you're writing. If I was writing a realistic fiction, my main female lead would more likely to have real world problems and amazing character development along with a slew of problems. I just think its genre based, and I hope you find some solace in knowing that us authors try.

Hoping to get some readers for my story, Celestial Dragon King, Harem Emperor. Please click on that link if you want to see some high quality written content.
TheBlips I tried to discord message you a few days ago. However, my id is DragonTreasures#6892. Just send me a DM on Discord and I'll work on a few chapters for you.
Click on view all comments on bottom of chapter -> make sure you're logged in -> type message on right side of screen - you'll see some text about it on bottom of page.
Niseam I would break your longer chapters into 3 parts, and try and post regularly.
I know this is also going to sound weird, but you might want to change your book cover.
I feel like right now it's too professional? On this site, people are used to eastern fantasy, 5 minute book covers, and its the one place where a professional image might scare someone off.
I have some other recommendations, too, but I'd just start by giving the readers bit sized chunks.
If you have any questions, feel free to tag me and I'll get back to you.
TinyRustyPanda The Ceo stories are mainly geared towards females, and are usually revenge / overcoming great obstacle romance stories. Imagine if system stories for males were geared to females, and instead of massive power ups for the Mc you had new powerful men who'd go to heaven or hell to protect their lovely female lead.
TheBlips I'll do 5 - 10 chapters if that'd help you. However, I'd do it out of the kindness of my little heart. No need to put my name anywhere. (I don't use discord very much, so I hope you see this)
https://www.webnovel.com/book/13133894505806605/Celestial-Dragon-King%2C-Harem-Emperor (18+ warning) atypical plot, and meant to involve a lot of snu snu~. Not for the small of heart.
Zehell2218 It's a common glitch. I think there is a webnovel thread about power stones disappearing, but I couldn't find it. I would recommend tagging @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL, and ask them if they can fix it.
Canthink_ I'm too viscous. I cause indigestion :(
Chryiss It took me 4 hours! lol
Heera15 left you a comment on your first chapter. Grammar still needs work, but it was definitely a lot easier to read. Maybe add a space, skip a line, every time someone new talks?
Heera15 will check it out.
I'm a dragon, so I'm an animal in fairy tales. Don't make me eat you!
Hawkkkkkkkkkk To be honest, I didn't even want to reply to you because I might get one starred again. The terror of one star reviews is sheer evil, bro. ><
Vrad_Zechs You mind if I just leave a few comments, bro? Don't have enough time to review a major book again till next week.
Hawkkkkkkkkkk That review you are talking about was my second review, and it was from an author during a writing competition. I had a strange feeling it was used as an attack to lower my voting pool, and even though it sounds legitimate, he seemed to like the novel in my comment section, but then deliberately one starred me.
At that time, I only had one real review, and it was clearly aimed to debilitate my motivation.
If it wasn't during a writing competition, and clearly meant at the time to stop me from writing, I would've found it legitimate. However, if you look at those 28 replies under the review, he even dissed one of my readers who liked my work. I really doubt if he wasn't writing a similar harem novel, with a similar premise, he would've have been so biased and left a one star review.
Hence, it was a weaponized review and the scintillating details he mentioned haven't been voiced by anyone else.
in fact, around chapter 4 he wrote a positive comment before one starring me ten seconds later.
I don't want to say he was wrong for doing it, but since he was a fellow author, I really doubt it was an unbiased review. I even told him directly to use the star system accurately, and left him a review on his own page.
Furthermore, I know I'm lucky to have those reviews, but it literally takes 9 5 star reviews to make up for 1 one star review! If you do the math, those 5 spammed reviews only account for half the damage of that one star review!
Anyways, just my two cent reply. Please feel free to add a nickel or dime if you want.
