The MLs are warm and lovable. No misunderstanding whatsoever between leads. I used MLs as in plural because there are 3 potential love interests and readers don't yet know whom she will end up with.

LordSputnik Aw.. thank you for your honest review. You actually made me so happy by saying that my writing quality was 'amazing'. I guess, I needed to hear that and be confident on my own writing.
I'm sorry the story couldn't make you stay. I only got into the WPC one week before it ended and I had to rush with the chapters to qualify for the theme. The MC has her powers from birth but it was supposed to take so much longer to explain to the readers why her powers were hidden. The young romance is only for the first volume to explain the MC's life on earth and later the story actually will focus on her 'home planet'. That's why I used some tags that were not shown in the current chapters, like "fantasy", "space opera", "sci-fi", etc.
The purpose of volume 1 was to show contrast with the next life, waiting for her in future. I am so excited about the MC's growth - I wish I could publish more chaps per day to get that far quickly... Alas! I have a full-time job, two kids, and 4 novels to update.
As I have mentioned in my comment above, I personally think John_Doever did so well with his novel and I was only lucky to already have a fan base to win the WPC. So, I'm not really proud of my winning. Still, I appreciate my readers for their undying support. Thank you again for taking the time to review WPC 101 and 102.

Thank you for this. It's my first WPC and the theme was perfect for what I've been wanting to write for a long time, but never had the opportunity to do so. So, it was a really wonderful experience to finally be able to make the characters come to live.
On a side note, I would like to express my admiration to the runner up of #WPC 102. John_Doever with "Reborn: Level 100 Farmer". Dude, your story must be so awesome that you can get that many powerstones and views in such a short amount of time. Congratulations! I can really see you go far with this novel. You got me so worried that I had to beg all my friends, family members, and existing readers to keep voting for me everyday and promised them mass releases. He got a birthday gift from his long deceased father, to open at his xx birthday (because by then he would be old enough to handle this power) and found it was a special potion made by his scientist father before he died a strange death. It turns out this special potion was made to turn humans into (you name it) with special powers such as.. (you can be creative here).
His father hid this secret because he was afraid his invention would be used to create war machines or special soldiers.
Realism is needed to give the readers something to relate to when they read your book. I write about immortal people who stay young and could live for hundreds of years since their ancestors (the Alchemists) drank the immortality potion, with the oldest in their clan being 570 years old, but looks like he is 25. These immortal mortals live their lives like normal people.
They have hobbies, passions, and professions (which they can switch after they get bored of it several decades later). They fall in love, they experience heartbreak, they have to make business decision, they are also impacted by WWII, global warming, AI Revolution, etc.
All these make my story relatable and readers can enjoy it, and they could even understand what it's like to be 438 years old and have a brother 250 years younger than you and have three children under 30. Crazy! But people buy it.
DarkRay I agree with you totally. Especially that subtlety is a skill. Nowadays I add footnotes to explain some stuff since most readers can't seem to understand all the subtle information I provided and guess what? They praise me for giving them all these info. It became a unique point in my book. I use footnote because I really want my readers to enjoy the book fully, which they cannot do if the don't understand all the subtle information.

MyRedeemerLives My MC is an anti-hero who hates humankind and wants to rule the world so he could determined who gets to live. He thinks most people don't deserve to walk the earth because they love war and destroying nature. He is a broken man and has a f*cked up view on humanity. He said, "Let only the strong, the intelligent, and the good live on this earth." He was working on AI projects to replace human as much as possible and even secretly controlled the media to make weak people go into suicide.
The title of my novel is: THE ALCHEMISTS, a story about immortal people on modern day. The MC I told you about is from Volume 2. Feel free to read from Volume 1, to get to know the alchemists first, before you go for our anti-hero in Volume 2. I generously let the first 176 chapters be free. It is only locked from chapter 177, so people can enjoy more stuff before they can decide if they want to invest their time and money on my novel.
Even though the novel has 3 volumes, related to each other, they all can be read separately.
