Japanese novel Mahouka, then TDG, then korean novel EER. Then ISSTH and CD.
After that it was whatever on Qi/WW/novelupdatesTopRank
What was the first CN novel you read?
First chinese stories I read would be "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "The Water Margin". If you haven't read those, I strongly suggest finding them. I am sure you can get them free on the web on any number of sites for classics. First modern chinese story I read was the earlier parts of "Demi Gods and Semi Devils", I believe more has been released since I stopped reading that. First wn was "Zhan Long". Since it gets translated at a rate of 1/week and the story is 1350 chapters long, it is still not translated, but I fed everything after chapter 200ish through systranet and slogged my way through that. Loved that story, have been a sucker for VR stories since. Issue is, most of them are garbage.
Coiling dragon
The first that i read
The first CN Novel I read was "I Shall Seal The Heavens".It's been recommended by my friend who reads webnovels. That time... I'm just a newbie in this kind of translated novels platform and I'm like: Whoa! I never thought there are novels like this! So that's the start of me being hooked in many CN Novels and the very first novel I read that lead to me here.Hahaha.
against the god
Manhua of coiling dragon was the trigger but the first actual webnovel I read was 'Tales of Demons and Gods'.
Manga of TDG was to slow so i tried the web novel instead, also the novel that took me in the world of books. Didn't realy like chinese novels back then so i read japanese novels, for a long time, then korean and now, for 2-3 months, chinese.
My first CN was Tales of Demons and Gods, after I got hooked onto the manga and came to the webnovel out of thirst. Sadly the webnovel left me feeling even more thirst.
I think it was MGA.
I need my tablet to say accurately because I started reading random novels from epubs on this google drive that was accidentally shared with me some of them CN some KN. I cannot say which exactly was first right now, but I can tell you which one I fell in love with first. A Thought Through Eternity or A Will Eternal (but I like the first title better tbh). I remember I stayed up 24 hours to create a damn epub from xianxiaworld because they didnt have epubs, and the epub that I had from the share drive stopped at chapter 40 or something and it was way past 100 something chapters on xianxiaworld. I had to go to every single chapter, inspect element search for Chapter then copy and past the code for the chapter into my epub creator, Calibre, took forever!!!
Though after I was done had a good bowl of ramen and laughed my ass off at the MC and his cowardice :D That turtle LMAO.
Like a lot of other ppl i started with the TDG manga. Since at that time there were barely any chapters released i quickly started searching for more, which lead me to WW and opened the wonderful world of LNs for me. Since then i've read some of the very best (and also some of the worst) that Chinese/Korean LNs have to offer :)
Flaffy ikr :D A Thought Through Eternity on xianxiaworld was great! I remember I had to take a day off at work since I forgot to sleep the first night I discovered ATTE :$
Klepar with me it was the same as it was TDG

in my case was two at same time when I discovered TDG there weren't too many chapter for me, so i went searching and read A step into the past at the same time and well i ended A step into the past first cause it was already finished x'D and how it holds well TDG was really interesting for me :| sad that their releases are too low... and A step into the pass i think it was a well polished story with lots of cliches and "face" chinese thingy xDD
Miya Saaame, I actually completely forgot about that. I thought it was TDG like
Necrolord The first one I read is Tales of Demon and God, still haven't finish, hell fudge fish damnation!!!!! ¡!!!!!!!!!
But now that I reread your comment Miya I remembered. Cause I hated waiting for new chapters at that time, and was like SCREW IT. I CAN READ BOOKS. (hence I became obsessed with reading and life is over)
Cilliez Whenever new chapters are released for it, I'm always like 'Huh? What is this book? Oh yeah! I remember this now!'
My first one was Tang Jia San Shao ' s Mad God . but i had no idea it was CN novel. I was reading JP novels at the time and i found this gem that got me in to CN novels
