So many novels have introduced some romantic partner. Romance is fine, it's just not fitting in a story of cultivation, other than a few lines here and there. Having whole chapters/arcs about romance gets tiring. Feels more like the author's self-insert masturbation.

What are some novels with an MC who doesn't care about romantic relationships, or at least where the relationship doesn't take up half the novel?

And are there any novels where every side character isn't a "breath taking, beautiful, jade-like women with perfect features"? Or a novel where 90% of the side characters aren't women?

    Yeah Yes, yes there is. There is one on WN right at this moment. It is called 'Paradise of Demonic Gods'. It is actually quite good. It has a power fantasy thing and the MC is quite OP. A good novel, but it gets boring fast for me since it doesn't have any harem or romance.

          Fang Xiang novels should do: World of Culrivation, and tge "sequal" : Avalon of the five elements. Other that that i think that I.E.T. novels would fit your criteria. Maybe thats too much mainstream for you, but you can't really go wrong with those ones.

          If traditional is getting a bit boring, than i suggest Forty Millennium of Cultivation, currently my favourite novel on Webnovel. Futuristic, Battle suits, refining, demons, starships....Cultivation, ah, am I selling it too hard?

            Yeah Honestly you are right. So many writers practically place themselves in the romance part of the novel. I do understand it is very hard to write and all since which one of us enjoys a harem lol. But seriously I feel that most authors who write harem practically place there own reactions to the romance part. That’s not bad but sometimes it feels forced and it becomes a strange type of chemistry. Like I saw an author say the mc wanted to protect with his life a girl he just met and fell in love with? This was in the second chapter btw. So yeah i didn’t know what bullshit that was but the girl accepted his love like they knew each other. They got married the next week -.-

                Swallowed Star romance is way on the back burner. I think it makes the most sense when it comes to a cultivator.
