Hi All~The results of our Writing Prompts Contests #33 are out! Based off of last week's power stones rankings, the first ten are as follows:
The first one will receive 5 gift cards, while 2th through 5th shall each receive 2 gift cards. ## (Each gift card contains 100 Spirit Stones).

The main topic of this week's writing prompt is fan-fiction for Qidian's novels.
What is a Qidian novel? It's quite easy to tell. Every novel formally published on webnovel.com that's a translated Chinese novel is a Qidian novel. These novels' authors have either sold their copyrights to Qidian, or the authors are cooperating with and allowing Qidian to have full rights to represent the novel. Everyone is free to choose any novel they like to write fan-fiction about, such as The King's Avatar, Library of Heaven's Path, True Martial World, Coiling Dragon, Emperor's Domination, and so on. You can write fan-fiction for these novels, sequels, or whatever you like.
Qidian has the copyright for 99% of the currently updating novels on qidian.com and chuangshi.qq.com. You can rest assured in writing whatever fan-fiction you like (as long as you don't use it for commercial purposes). As for all the best-ranking Chinese webnovels, 90% of these novels have the copyright shared by Qidian and the author. I Eat Tomatoes, ErGen, Heavenly Silkworm Potato, Tang Jia San Shao, Chen Dong, Li Tian, Yan Bi Xiao Sheng and other such authors all have such cooperative contracts with Qidian. Perhaps some of these novels' English versions weren't published first on webnovel (as some pirate sites translated the novels without permission first), but everyone will indeed have the right to write fan-fiction for these novels.
Excellent fan-fiction will receive the opportunity to be displayed on the front page or even obtain a contract. In fact, the original author might even see your story! ヾ(◍°∇°◍)ﾉﾞ so begin creating your fan-fiction!
Writing Prompts Contest #33-B：Qidian fan-fiction（female lead）
This week's writing prompt will be regarding fan-fiction for female-lead Webnovel stories~
There are a few classic fan-fictions:
Female side character reincarnates/transmigrates: If a soul that comes from the real world transmigrates onto a female side character who has done all sorts of evil deeds (Ning Xueluo/Han Ruchu/Shen Mengqi, etc), what would she do to avoid her tragic end?
Or
Protagonist reborns: If Tang Ning returns to the peak of her career from several years back, or Qiao Anhao returns to the past before her parents went bankrupt, how would she have avoided the crisis that appears later? Would she make the same choice of the lover of her past?
In fan-fictions, you can choose characters you love the most or find most pitiful and fix the regrets you have for them. You can create a new character, allowing them to have the perfect ending in the story world!

How to join
When you create your new novel, you can choose any genre that you wish. Then, the writing contest options will appear. Choose the [WPC #33-A：Qidian fan-fiction（male lead）] or [WPC #33-B：Qidian fan-fiction（female lead）] option in order to participate in this contest.
Prizes
For the top-ranked original novels submitted in this story writing contest, the prizes shall be as follows:
(This only includes original novels submitted for this contest. Novels that didn’t participate in this contest shall not be included in the rewards.)
(1) Spirit Stones
1st: 5 Spirit Stone gift cards for the author
2nd-5th: 2 Spirit Stone gift cards for the author
(Each gift card contains 100 Spirit Stones)
(2) Recommended novel on the front page
The 1st ranked original novels will be recommended on the front page.
(3) Particularly excellent novels will receive the opportunity to obtain a paid contract.
Rules
1.The main topic of your novel should be Qidian fan-fiction. Otherwise, it shall be treated as an invalid entry.
2.Your story entered in the contest must be your own original work, with the copyright held by you. No plagiarism is allowed.
3.The contest will take place from November 19, 2018 to November 25, 2018 (GMT +8).
4.The story must not contain any racial or religious discrimination against any other cultures or their lifestyles.
5.Only newly-created original novels shall be allowed to enter the contest.
6.Webnovel reserves the right of final interpretation for all stories submitted in this contest.
