DragonKnight531 That's pretty easy, really- Patience, skill, and luck.
Patience and skill you can control with your actions and mindset. Luck you can't control. But having lots of patience and a ton of skill will mean you won't need much luck to succeed, whereas all the luck in the world won't help an unskilled and impatient writer succeed.
Focus on your craft, not the attention. If you put out shitty writing hoping for attention, you probably won't get it, and if you do, it won't be the attention you want.
Write good stuff, have the patience to wait as long as it takes to succeed, and be willing to put in a huge amount of effort building into the community, and you're pretty much guaranteed some degree of success.
There is no short or easy path to winning.
DragonKnight531 You've written 3 pages in 2 months and you're upset its not super popular or getting a ton of attention? I mean, I'm a pretty slow writer by this site's standards, and I put out a couple pages a DAY. =P
You've gotta write a LOT. You've gotta edit a LOT. You have to CONSTANTLY be trying to improve your craft through reading, studying other styles, and implementing feedback in a serious and structured manner.
And you have to make peace with the fact that you've gotta be really good to catch people's attention when surrounded by so many other talented people.
Success isn't just gonna fall into your lap because you quite literally put in the bare minimum possible effort =P

Clowniac But you are! I've seen your posts here and your edit of Forsaken1's, uh, was that his first chapter? Anyway, that thread he made. Comparing it to what I did with DragonKnight531's was like, uh, I can't think of anything. Just that yours was better! 
The Clowniac is awesome, true. I must become even better than the clown. Muahaha
Forsaken1 I hope you donβt mean the whole novel. Personally I enjoyed the mistakes, since it added to your prankish charms

While I agree Clown is far better than me, I did his/her? not use his work, so everything is my writing and I took inspiration from his changes.
anyways I would love your input clowniac has not commented on the story at all, also I have edited the chapters, after his comments!

Clowniac eh? (Β΄ο½₯_ο½₯`) I never once said i was upset. I was just curious how people get noticed. My book is nooooowhere neeeear ready for a large audience viewing. 
. Like do people just post here and people check there book out? I only got reviews because I asked for them. I'm assuming you would have to do the same. The problem, which i stated was i dont use Facebook or any social media except maybe google+ but theirs no readers there. their mostly just memers.
