Wouldn't recommend dropping this novel, I've easily read 30 other Chinese books and this one ranks at the top easily, it's really quite good

PhantomPR05 this novel is ok, the translator is worst kind there is. any kind of editing to the actual novel should be done by editor or translator with authors permission which in this case he clearly doesnt have. if censoring is ok, omitting parts of chapter is not. i dont know how much details have been omitted at this point. he should write his own novel if he censors and omit a lot. or better yet translate other novel which doesnt have connection to earth.
if the novel is ok, the translator have made it a bad novel. i have dropped it, never will read it again.

This is plain up disrespecting the original author. The translator should be ashamed. If I was the author I wouldn't want such a rogue to destroy my novel's translation.

Se7eN Probably because no one wants to inherit such a mess and have to go back and edit all the previous chapters to undo all the translator's crap.
Its a shame a translator can get away with imposing his bias on a novel he's translating. When the hell have novels turned into people's safe place anyway?
