I propose they have human moderation of thumbnails of novels with under X number of clicks/views/reviews/etc or a sufficiently qualified bot

    If the author care for the morals...or if he or she has a sibling, daughter, son, lady friends, mother, sister, girlfriend or wife he would not upload that pic as her or his cover photo.       I agree with you. Those inappropriate book covers make me really uncomfortable. The reason there are age restriction tags is because there are younger kids on this site. An 18+ tag can keep younger people away from mature content, but it does not protect anyone’s eyes from inappropriate book covers.
      Literally yesterday, I was introducing my brother to webnovels and we saw the Conan Cassanova novel when we scrolled down the front page (under daily updates). That was so embarrassing...
      I feel Qidian should at least make sure the novel covers for the novels featured on the front page are appropriate.

        Honestly, just they should just make NSFW novels hidden unless you set your age to 18+ or something. Which many fake their age for, which I don't get unless you're trying to bypass something like a gambling website.

        The least that webnovel could do is to make it hidden for below 18. Or there should be some rules that prevent nsfw covers

If you think kids can be affected from these you must be very out of touch from reality.
