I listen to music while reading,
I listen to almost anything I can get my hands on except for rap, country and anything too lyrical.
My preference is bossa nova, EDM and depending on my mood rock.

Do you guys listen to music? If you do what genre? :D

Neverfire7 Whoa, that sound's great I can imagine a climax in an arc with this music in the background making it feel so much more epic than it could be so much more epic than it already is, I'm definitely gonna pay attention to the 'Epic' Genre!

I listen to mostly classical or epic music. Music pop, lyric among others to not hear them because confused reading, is a suggestion.
Epic music sometimes leaves him super epic to a bow already epic of a novel

      I listen to japan rock
It's makes ne exited while reading

Ebu8b This sounds really neat, it has a great flow.

Taoista_JoJo Classical is great! I know what you mean, too many lyrics practically impair my reading, it's probably the sole reason I don't listen to music too heavy on lyrics like rap, but at the right amount, words go in one ear and out the other.

I only read while listening to music.

A lot of the songs, that I listen to, are from NoCopyrightSounds.

I also listen to Spanish songs like:

        Music! Music! Music!

N0xiety Now I got even more great music to listen to :D

ZiLi I also love NCS, I'm also like Monster Cat but they're not too similar

Millman97 Haha, One punch man does have a great OST, one more song to add to my bookmarks bar.

Ebu8b same here! Lofi hip hop whilst reading, translating, sleeping, cooking...
I love most producers from STEEZYASFUCK :)

Olivia more often when it comes to clasical music i will simply close my eyes and listen. with books if material is engrossing backgroundsound kinda disappears for me so it depends on what i am reading too.

You guys know your music, I just listen to random shiz on youtube and on the radio.

Neverfire7 listened to Elevana. its pretty much what you expect from an orchestral score for a movie/anime etc. i can think of several opera too.

Tugster Agreed. Listening to music and reading gets distracting for me. Especially if the music doesn't match with the mood...

I usually listen to rock or metal, sometimes jazz, maybe classical, it just depends on my mood. I mostly listen to hard rock I guess. Bands like Stone Sour, Fozzy, Volbeat, Ghost, Red Sun Rising, etc. When I do, its just low volume in the background. Mostly to block out other household conversations and noises.

sten to rnb, rap, beats by skrillex, DJ snake etc.I'll just post some of the stuff I listen to

IIXXII I would listen to music but it distracts me from my reading and makes me feel less immersed.

I listen to stuff like Kpop, Chinese music, Japanese anime openings, and some popular English pop songs. also movie soundtracks. and random stuff from like other things, like MLP soundtrack.

                        Sometimes I do both
But it ruining my imagination to the novel

I love listening to Epic Music.

My favorites are Strength of a Thousand Men, et al from Two Steps from Hell.

There's also Hymn of the Apocalypse from Jo Blankenburg

Some of the WoW background music is great, too.

                          and

                          to name a few~

I usually just let it go on autoplay and treat it as background music,(I can't truly listen to it while reading) then when it becomes too distracting or if it becomes a different genre altogether, I stop.

Anime opening songs are awesome, too!!
Bleach, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Reborn, etc, love 'em.

Neverfire7 great taste. I like the first one a lot.

                          5.Epic Celtic music

Ik some of those have lyrics but when u turn the volume down slightly they become indistinct and the melody/beat takes over.

                          PS. MrSuicidesheep is awesome.

                          Enjoy.

Well this is embarrassing, the Music for writing series had the audio tracks removed cause of copyright issues.....soooooo no dice.
This is why I download stuff I love no matter how easy it is to access anytime. #moralofthestory
