Many novels have dozens to hundreds of reviews of the same people to push the rating. Just look at stuff like Reverend Insanity (sort by newest). At least the last 5 pages are (positive) fake reviews by the same few accounts. And the person who did it doesn't even try to hide it.

Karyehs If it’s a translated novel, I don’t think WN will do anything. They need their translated novels to be rated high. They delete legitimate negative reviews but go figure they don’t delete spam positive reviews. I think that just shows how they run their business.

WN should implement regulations on reviews like:
-Only level 3 and higher can post reviews
-Only novels with minimum 10,000 words can receive reviews
-Readers can only post reviews after reading at least 10 chapters
-Only 1 review per 50 or so chapters (I reviewed novels at around 25-40 chapters good and bad, but later reviewed them again at 100-150 chapters because my opinion has changed).

It would be easier to delete trash reviews than shut out beginner authors and reviewers. After all, it's not us buried in the bad reviews. It't the big popular books.

veinglory Yeah that’s true. I’ve seen translated novels not even released yet with over a hundred reviews of 5/5 stars saying things like ,”Can’t wait for this to be released.” 😒😒😒😒

yunisao Change one review per 50 chapters to one review. Then allow me to edit my (one) review whenever I want.

Apart from that just the usual perfectly sane opinions I've voiced myself.

Oh, you might want to allow completed stories to be reviewed regardless of word-count ;)

Karyehs They delete fake reviews that are 1 star. 5 star reviews that are fake are never taken down. Sometimes they even delete real reviews that are 1 star. The content doesn’t matter to them, only the stars.
