I'am really disappointed at webnovel i am an avid fan of novels . my first read was coilling dragon swallowed star then i dicovered the app webnovel . i been to webnovel in its early days ..when webnovel has no forum, no authors that can write their own stories, no medal and its own logo. You know readers dont like cliffhangers .. thats the idea webnovel is getting in its new profaganda of privaleges. for me knowing that there is a chapter that i cant read when the plot is getting exciting makes me mad. so what can i do ?? wait for next chap to unlock because of the privaleges??thats irritating !! ohh theres another solution pay for the privaleges?? what?? but i have no money...

reading at webnovel is just my hobby and i dont plan on spending money in it.

first they introduce the stones i am slightly disappointed . then i said to myself ohhhh i can tolerate it because theres free stones every day and i can minimize myself for reading at my phone..

so maybe this days i am thinking of quitting reading at webnovel and change to another app.

    trekt so am I. I blew through Full Marks Hidden Marriage during the event, much more when I started webnovel last year and Cultivation Chat Group was here. But the Privilege thing was clearly outlined in the (?) section.

        I am also very disappointed.
        I really love My Master Disconnected yet again, every day came 2 chapters for SS but now it seems like they just want to push the Money aspect with the new System at first when SS chapters came i thought hmm thats allright but now it is really annoying i am also not a Person that reads on the app i love to read on my big PC screen.

        i can understand webnovel for creating privaleges if not for that how can they sfor their authors.

          Yes and yet I still just waited for the daily release to buy the chapters normally. Even My Master Disconnected yet again. Which btw just updated at 6pm my local time, 20 minutes ago when I write this.

          The only thing that changed is that you could see that the translators stockpiled 50 chapters in advance for many novels.

            Because that happened last year with National School Prince is a Girl, and this year for Insanely Pampered Miss. Suddenly everything is locked even past chapters that was not locked before.

Especially since there is the story My Disciple Died Yet Again (from the same author as My Master Disconnected Yet Again), fully translated and free to read on the Internet ... that really helped me not to get too addicted to My Master and buy these abhorrent expensive privileged chapters

For translated novels, they will have to get a copy of the raws, manually translate it by hand, send it through editors, proof-readers, and so on. A single chapter can take hours to finish, and the same goes for original novels. Writers of original novels spend their personal time honing their novels from taking time out of their daily life to sit down, write chapters (which for some people can take anywhere from 1-3 hours just to write a single chapter). Their time could be spent doing something else, but because of their dedication towards their readers, they write for others and their own enjoyment. The hour a person spends to write their novel can be used to do other hobbies and part-time jobs that actually pays them. The spirt stones might be expensive, but at the end of the day, its giving back to the hardworking translators and authors

Unlike with independent hobby translators from other sites, Webnovel provides the raws for their translators so they don't have to spend for the raws. Also, they don't go through editors and proofreaders. Usually, it just goes through only one editor and if they miss errors, those go through to the final product. In some cases, the translator is also the editor. In many cases, they ask readers to send corrections via discord or the forum.

                    I get that people need to be paid, but prices need to be justifiable. It's quite absurd to be paying more for online versions of incomplete novels that were edited by hobbyists than what one would pay for a complete physical version of a complete novel edited by a professional.
