Why can't there just be a monthly membership, that gives you unlimited chapters? I'd pay a monthly over having to spend upwards of $150 to read one story.

VladdyPutin I don’t dislike webnovel since they’re a business; but it has hit a bit of a peak. Any further and they WILL push some loyal consumers away.
Honestly I’m still shocked there are not more business popping up selling translations as actual physical books internationally (while expensive they’re great translations yet still cheaper than reading from beginning to end here at current word to SS rates.) For those who binge read this is by far a superior method yet it just lacks supply.

A majority of novels are going premium to the point that you have to dish out basically over 30-100$ or more a month just to continue reading your favorite novels.
I basically ran out of spirit stones all free from check-ins plus from voting and it's still not enough to satisfy the 7-12 spirit stones per chapter and chapters are usually mass release by about 5-10 chapters or more.
The Lord's Empire (Gravity Tales), Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God(Gravity Tales) used to be good novels until they went full on premium. so the only most decent video game type novels I can read is not on Qidian which is a good thing.
Even newer novels can become premium if their popular enough regardless of ranking.
So basically the Qidian website will become full-on premium in the future home to new novels and tons of premium only novels (costing spirit stones for every chapters including the 1st chapter, which I assume their going to do in the future to earn more money).

im annoyed by the fact that they just locked like 100 plus chapters for certain novels,
like i had a bunch of novels i was just letting pile up chapters in my library so can come back and binge read after the
chapters piled up but now when i got back to the them i find out their locked.
Now it seems that any story that goes premium will get almost all there chapters locked so previously free and ad locked chapters cost stones even if you've already read them and from what I've seen after September there are no longer any free 1 a day chapters for premium stories.

Plus if I bought some chapters and I don't receive free unlocked chapters until the free chapters gets to where I ran out of SS. I need to wait a lot. Days, weeks, maybe months. With novels having 1000+ chapters, maybe years? For full-time translators. Not waiting for the authors to write their books. Your current business model is good for you, good for the translators, maybe the authors, but it is very bad for the readers.

Gralorn I have stopped reading RTW in the beginning of august and still no free chapter have being unlocked since then so yeah i think free chapter are gone or i am so far in advance with the chapter i have unlocked that i still need to wait to for the free chapter to catch off... If it's the case i think it's pretty stupid because i am close to 100 chapters behind the last one released at the moment...

carfat A thousand times this. I have had two books that I had unlocked /MANY/ chapters only to end up relocking all of said chapters with no warning what-so-ever. Before I would pay to unlock again I would just read them elsewhere.
Also, I just noticed a new problem, things I have unlocked on the mobile app are not unlocking when viewing from PC, same account of course.
KoolAid I'm having the same problem, but I'm talking to CKtalon about it in this post ,
he has asked dev's to look into this
