PeacockStudios what the fudge? well, this is originally a pure translating company from CHINA so eastern fantasy is common even in originals. i'm disappointed with the fact that there are barely xianxia in the original rankings right now. ceo, romance, and whatnot is good but it doesn't mean xianxia shouldn't be in the list anymore.

    Clowniac clowniac, you just might be the biggest trap or reverse trap in webnovel. i still don't know your gender ._. i assumed you were a girl back then but idk now ;-;

      sleep_yturtle there are a bunch of novels with less romance. best example is it's not easy to be a man

        Malakacrazy there are non-contracted authors that has complete novels and had an editor edit for them. i forgot her name.

          okay, we have three periodic exams two hours from now. wtf am i doing here...

            JVenior I do get going on hiatus for some time and all. After al real life happens. But it dos bother me when an author goes on hiatus on one novel to focus on another. And the worst case is the dropped (with no chance of being picked again) one novel and focusing on another that started after the dropped one. Then there is the cases of authors who end up dropping one after another.
            I do believe there should be a limit of novels an author could work on at the same time. And some kind of punishment or limitation in regards of dropped novels. In your case you went on hiatus after ending one book at least. And not to write something else for losing interest in it. That is understandable. But that is not the case I complained about. XD

            And about CEOs... welp... nothing to do about it... but it would sure be nice seeing romance with male main characters and more novels with FL with less romance... I mean... even inebm is under the romance tag... and there’s almost no romance there... xD

              But that's precisely the point of contracts. If you know a particular story is premium, or the writer is under contract, then you can safely assume that the story will be finished. Eventually. If the story isn't premium or contracted, then there is the possibility that it might be dropped anytime, but that's the risk when you are reading them for free. The premium thing usually means you pay in the form of SS in return for guaranteed updates, but that's not necessarily the case for completely free stories. Of course there will always be outliers and exceptions where you can find a great story that is not premium yet completed, and there will be contracted writers who are sometimes irresponsible, but in essence you're paying for...I guess guarantee or certainty?

                I don't care for any pure romance or LGDBQTfnjkjoreji+ novels.
                All i want is the option to display anything but those.
                That means that there have to be filters to remove them from the view.
                I know it is easy to implement but will the staff do so?

                  xcares is programming that easy? a dent in the supposed format and bugs will show up and then you have to check line by line, no?

                  let them fix the bugs first.

                    Reinesse Well they already have a system of tagging every novel with a genre, so adding a filter shouldn't be that difficult IMO, but then again I'm not a programmer so who knows, however I would be one of the people who would welcome such a filter if for nothing else for the protection of children cuz you can't say that everyone reading on this site is above 18 right? And children need to be protected from obscene content IMO.

                      xcares uh... this isn't c++, brackets, or javascript though. if it's that easy, then they should have taught it to junior high school.

                        A decent search interace would alleviate a lot of the problems. Add public collections in combination with multiple collections per user, and we could even have something good.

                        Reinesse it is sql. Simple sql. Doesn't matter if it's MySQL or MsSQL or PostgreSQL or any other distro.
                        Just ask around. It's easy. Really easy
