Now that there is actually an premium system, and people are actually paying with their money to get spirit stones to view the chapter, i feel like there should be a report button so that any chapter with poor translations can be taken down and retranslated.
I am saying this after reading the latest super gene chapter, which is a big wall of text with text from the previous chapter mixed in it.
well super gene is not on premium and you can read it with ads and maybe they upload the unedited ?you can comment in their comment section about your problems theres no need for report function cause they are same functions with diff. names.
I'm sure the translator/editor is going to split through 300 comments for mistakes.
SuperHandsomeMan super gene and here comes the argument i knew was coming. 'you are just reading it for free so shut up'. I am reading this with the ads. For all the talk about contributing to the author and the translator, Qidian doesn't seem to be too eager on upholding a standard translation quality.
Sure there is a translation rating for each chapter but what does that do? Nothing.
This is one of the reason i hesitate ti buy any spirit stone.
And commenting will only get a response if the translator cares.
We need a repor button so that when a chapter gets reported by a large number of people then the Qidian moderators should take that chapter down and give a warning to the translator.

What kind of novels does have poor translation?
HUMOR_SENSE101 lots of novels have low translation quality.
There are the novels like super genes which just has a huge wall of text of the wrong chapter. And there is also the ultimate scheming system which often has chinese sentences between each English sentences. These are the ones needing the report button the most.
There are other ones too. Some like immortal mortal has vast amounts of grammatical mistakes. I stopped reading that because of that. There are lots of novels like this, with loths of grammatical errors and typos. Which can usually be corrected with comment feedback. But only if the translator cared.
And the other thing i am starting to notice is some translator does not care about details. The translator would not put any effort into it. Reading those translations are like reading a office report. Just boring.
The one thing that peeves me the most is the is the translator knows the chapter is low quality and puts on a small translator note on the end saying "sorry for the typos and grammatical mistakes. Did not have time. XOXO. :)". I just want to kill these translators. If you knew it is not up to standard why do you post the chapter!?

such a shame that Trafford's Trading Club doesn't seem to have an editor at all, I liked the story so much but sometimes it's very hard to understand because of all the mistakes.
Wolfeinstein Agreed. But I fear they put Spirit Stone as cost for reporting such bad translation. Lol
SuperHandsomeMan then do you want the TLs/EDs to go through a wall of spam comments just to see if there's some complaints on their translation? A report button would be much more convenient so that any translation mistakes will be sent directly to the TLs/EDs.
KimochiBlues exactly. But more than that it would force those translators who doesn't care about quality to correct the chapters

Hyper_pumpkin comment spammers are mostly due to the experience system. We can do nothing about that.
