I feel like the only (kinda) winners are those who are here to read comics. At 13 SS per chapter, those are probably the only readers who see consistent improvement in the number of chapters that can be read per day. I personally am pretty with Virtual World Close Combat Mage because it consistently 21-24 SS costing chapters (after chapter 500 when it got transferred from GT).

      if I'm being honest after I used the last of my coins Its highly likely I'm going to leave the app since I read all the novels I wanted to read and the new ones are just copy of the old ones. it's kinda getting boring. the few translations books I planned to read have been dropped by the author and wont be picked up so there is not really any point

      WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL news downgraded my level and stole all my coins..now I'm using web page to read..all ready uninstall apps..

          New system basically doesn't let readers wait a bit to see if a novel gets dropped randomly or not. Like some people might invest a ton of time and free SS, go to buy some SS to spend and support the novel they enjoy, only to see it dropped with no info why anywhere to be found... no more 30 days of buffer. Down to 7. Not really a buffer.

          I kinda like the previous one more than the new update, where SS is being given, and can get more SS. it's makes webnovel different from the other novel apps. Oh well.

          It didn't improve the reading experience but made it more dreadful to people who can't buy coins... So what are they gonna do? Just stop reading and uninstall the app?
          You guys have to be reminded that majority of the users are people who can't purchase coins. They do love to read but sadly that has been taken away from them.

          I can't believe how many uninstalls will happen in the future.

          Is considering it too even though I've purchased coins and has the capability to purchase the membership.

                Even though they may stir up passion, at least it's better to stir up before the changes right? At least there's opportunity to address issues before change (if that's possible) :grin:

                  WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL there is no way to earn more coins like I could with SS for free. And since you got rid of the $2.99 option for 150 coins now I can’t afford to even buy more to read along. Will just look for another option soon as membership doesn’t have as many benefits as you make it seem when offering

                    Dragon_Sorceress I calculated my total expense if I buy coins in order to finish the Library of heaven's path (I just started reading this last month) considering the 1k plus unlock chapter that I have to open, the total coins I have to purchase is enough to buy a book set of Mitch Albom's or Harry Potter ( or it might be enough to buy both 🤔) Now do I still need to consider buying coins???🤨🤨

                        Gelli_love Mine was 700 plus ss but the 500 ss expired, unknowingly. I only went on a holiday for 5 days without internet but when I open the app after, I almost threw my phone out of frustration, I lost 500 ss that I patiently earned. I use the remaining ss to buy a privilege for 10 advance chapters (I was afraid that it will also expire, might as well just use it right?) but I feel being robbed when I still need to buy that 10 chapter using coins (fast pass is banned for the privilege) I felt buying the privilege was useless, I no longer have coins to open the remaining chapter!!!🤬🤬😤😤

                          I am excited about future prospects and hope to see webnovel greater heights.

And oh, btw, i just found a nice ebook platform where i can read much better books, and also i just find in their collection one or more novel where its say 'Privilege Chapters' in yours but its free from them, totally, no coins, no etc and the chapters are more advance than the set PC in your platform.
                            And it have many ebooks than yours.

                              Oh my God! Why you guys are doing that. It was a good app. Why are you trying to ruin it. If a particular chapter gets unlocked with either pass or ss then why the hell we are not getting enough pass or ss daily? I'm not able to understand your marketing strategy at all. You need to hire a new marketing/sales team now because if they telling you that the benefits will take time to come then I'm telling you, in future, most of the readers will uninstall this app....for sure. Really disappointed in you.

                                YoungEmpress 😪 while I agree that I miss the term SS. It's still the same thing. 😣 Your leaving too? That's sad 😔. I seldom see any of the old readers from the start. The thing is with the new fast pass system, it doesn't benefit free readers. But it benefits the original authors, translators because they know they will get less free SS spent on their books.

                                I know from a reader point of view this isn't good. But, we need to learn to adapt to changes. It's still possible to stack up fast pass. Your still getting free chapters. So there really isn't a problem.

                                (That site you mentioned is most likely a pirate website. Books on Webnovel aren't allowed to be posted anywhere else. So yes, it's an illegal site)

                                    svats The only ones who will really uninstall this are the free readers. From webnovels point of view, they need to pay their translators, authors and editors somehow. All those new changes in the last update gave people so many free SS, that it was starting to hurt authors income. From the start privilege was supposed to be for paid readers. But somehow free readers managed to save up so much SS. Webnovel just returned it to how it was meant to be.

                                    Though this new update doesn't support free readers very well. It's still possible to read for free 😌 they haven't gotten rid of free reading completely. There are many free books on this site too.

You guys removed the means of gettting free reading method just so people will have to buy coins. I wish you guys could have considered that not all users and readers of WN are working and earning money. I know that they need to pay for the authors and translators, then they could have just made an update where those readers who pays gets a VIP service where only those who can pay can access to some chapters or functions of the app, don't offer SS as payment as most free readers save a lot of SS to binge read novels. Atleast charge it with money not SS. Not all of us can afford to buy membership or coins. I'd somehow accept this new system if you'd give people chances to collect coins through daily log ins even if it's just 3 or 5 coins a day. But tbh, that free pass thing you just created is just a ripoff, a reading pass for just one chapter and we don't even get to read it again after a day or two without using another pass to unlock it? Spirit stones were way much better, since the SS price is reasonable because it is priced by word count and we get to read it again and again.

                                          I used to love Webnovel, because it doesn't really oblige me to buy anything and I get to spend my free time reading relaxingly but now I can't. I'll probably stop using WN when the old system shuts down. I just can't accept the new system. I'm sorry but I also hope you guys can consider everyone's opinion about this new system and think about your beloved readers and their wellbeings. 💔

                                              Just want to clarify, this is incorrect. Chapters that are unlocked with fast passes will be unlocked permanently. But fast passes expire after 7 days, so make sure to use them before they expire.
