hayatahmedallah they will only acknowledge it if the author of the original work fills a complaint against them. Like everyone else. The author must reunite proof his work is being plagiarised.

Thats so lame. Haha. So now anyone can compose copies and earn bucks out of it, only waiting for big companies to see it after 10-15 years? Is that what webnovel is doing?

hayatahmedallah well, it's alike just because the heroine marries the younger brother of a deceased husband? What are the other clearly copied elements? I wouldn't say as much because it was hard for me even go past the third chapter, to know (comparing with the summary of Kumkum- ek pyara sa bandhan in Wikipedia I didn't find alike). Absolutely not my cup of tea.
Did both works start alike? Is the family's dynamic identical? Is there some specific scene that is identical in both works? Those could help to identify plagiarism.
I'm not doubting what you say, first because you watched the show and read the book, and I didn't.
But it's not so easy to proof plagiarism, even in the court, and it's one of the reasons the author must file a complaint about it if they believe their copyrights are being infringed.

hayatahmedallah ideas aren't copyright violation. And never will be.

Actually copying physical/readable text from another source to claim as your own is copyright violation.

What you're probably annoyed with is seeing clichés and tropes of a theme reused to the point of saturation. This is how Webnovel catalog works. Think of it like fast food for books.

hayatahmedallah Oh no no!!! i don't think it will be considered as copy of Kumkum. It's just cliche...like most romance novels here... has villain sister's or white lotus troop. I read few chapter of Young brother in law...it's a different packaging of concept. It was a good read. There are few dramas on similar idea but different story.

hayatahmedallah Hey! Are you an indian? If yes, then have you read " Prithvi" on Wattpad by VermillionBlue. And I'm not talking about any fanfiction of legendary Prithivraj Chauhan's love story🤭 it's a original novel by Ranjana.

I think we should all be careful about accusations like this. You can't just say that she copied this and that without any proof. Plagiarism could ruin an authors career.

And to be honest, saying that she copied her novel is like saying that All CEO novels just copied from Trial Marriage or Full Marks Hidden Marriage because they have a CEO male lead.

Does it like adaption? does all exactly the same? for example Taiwan drama Fated to love you being adapted into manhua and with so many drama remake. That also copyright.

Yuki_Qing depends on who adapted the novel. If the adapter is the copyright holder, it's fine.

Adaption and translation are similar activities. They're both under copyright protections.

Veronica8 thanks. I know that Taiwan drama copyright but if the above poster feel the situation are the same and it exactly 100% same so make a report on that. Just because it not come from novel, doesn't mean drama team and screenwriter doesnt have the copyright.

Yuki_Qing yep. The best the op can do is alert the source, so that'll be the author or copyright holder. It has to be the copyright holder to take action on the matter.

@hayatahmedallah I am a Webnovel staff and one of the editors who is looking after this book.

We were notified about this book a few weeks ago. We spoke to the author who told us her detailed plot outline, and the female editors determined that her plot outline is vastly different from the TV drama's plot outlines.

@TheBlips is right, accusations of plagiarism are very serious and it can end a writer's career. You should have some 100% undeniable proof that something is copied. You can email me at islindayang@yuewen.com if you are certain you have undeniable proof. Even then we are very sure this author has not plagiarised anything. The plot may have some similarities but if you're going to be pedantic about it, you can say 'Shark Tale' plagiarised 'Finding Nemo' because they both are about sea creatures. Similarities and plagiarism are two very different things.

hayatahmedallah cough 😅 Eternal melody's author loves the book younger brother in law is now my husband 💙. In my opinion the reason why I like this book is 😆😆 because it's UNIQUE and different from the average typical cliche books...

Please be careful when you accuse somebody of copying 😃.

                    hayatahmedallah

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as islinda had mentioned, we have looked into this and have determined that the story is different from the mentioned TV series.

We do take accusations of plagiarism seriously and we do investigate. But if we find that there are no grounds for the accusations, the person who makes said accusations will also be penalised for falsified information.

@hayatahmedallah Thank you for bringing this up. As others including my colleagues have mentioned, plagiarism is a serious offense and we have taken care to look into this. However do note that false accusations can be considered slander which is yet another offense so do take care when making such serious statements.

As we have checked with the author previously and received novel outlines of their story, we can confirm that this is not a plagiarised story so please watch what you say about others. Thank you.

I have seen many similar stories from Isekai, this is more cliché than plagiarism. Perhaps plagiarism - ideas, plot, but not the story itself as a whole, since the arches are different there.
