I'm a newbie into the writing world but my inspiration comes majorly from the Holy Spirit
. I love supernatural stories, historical stories, with a bit of love spice in it.
My best authors are Francine Rivers, Frank Peretti, Jerry Jenkins, CS Lewis.
I am currently writing a book here on webnovel titled A Pastor's Daughter Diary.
Thanks for reading this.
What inspired you to write? Who is your role model author?
Oooh this is a fun thread! :D
I was actually kinda deep in the art industry for a long time, and I really liked animes mangas webtoons and stuff ykno ykno
And then, well, long story short I took a break from art, and I was in a kiiind of dark place in my life. Out of loneliness, I created a world in my head for me to imagine to not think about bad things... And also to feel less lonely lol.
I never wrote and I rarely read fiction books, I admit lol I liked non-fiction better, and I only read one webnovel before I started writing, which was Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint lol. I loved the story soooo much that I jumped from webtoon to the webnovel even though I have neverrrr read a webnovel before.
And then just a few weeks ago I saw a wfp in webnovel and I was like hey yea sounds cool and so I joined even though I was late lol. And I had to take a few days to draw my own cover so I was extra late, with no stockpiled chappies too, but hey, it was fun and I'm glad I started writing :D
SIU, my goal in life is to write a novel as intricate as tower of god
Wulin_Jianghu the author that introduced me is@ Minus Ninety Degrees
Wulin_Jianghu
Actually reading and writing is kind of a hubby for me, books became addicting the more I read.
My very close friend was the one who inspired me to write my first ongoing novel I didn't even think it would get this far
I have many authors as my role models the likes of Kiera Cass, Rachel hook, Anna Todd, Light ray and other authors here in webnovel I adore each and every one of them, their works and personalities(the ones I've managed to meet so far)
My ongoing/current work is LOST IDENTITY its my first ever book I've written and I've devoted time to making sure it reaches the expectations of my readers. Its thriller mystery mixed with romance novel. Fl based if you want you can check it out. I'll leave a link below

whoa that's cool! I'm sure that writing could be a good way for you to create your own world :)
I hope that you can finish your story. Thumbs up to you! I'll check your novel. Thanks.
I was inspired to write during the period when I was stressed because of work - caused by the pandemic. I read some ancient poems and songs based on the poem, and later on decided to write a historical fiction based on the ancient poems.
Here is my novel in case you're interested οΌhttps://www.webnovel.com/book/records-of-the-immortals_17011867105133305
mozza_mello whoaοΌI like animes too.
I hope that you could find your solace in writing.... :) and out of your loneliness!
I kind of find my solace in writing - although my novel is historical fiction. And I have to say that 80% of the story is based on factual historical events. But there's so many unspoken and unwritten things in history books that I decided to write the fiction part based on it.
writing without stocpiled chapters and committed to write everyday is not easy. Good luck to you and your writing!
PeculiarPraise wow!
I know Jerry Jenkins with his Left Behind series and CS Lewis with his Chronicles of Narnia.
I hope that you could also become an inspiring author like them! Good luck! I will check your novel!
R. L. Stine and his Goosebumps/Give Yourself Goosebumps. He is the single most inspirational author to me. He's the one who shaped my childhood and set me on the path to writing.
Wulin_Jianghu Aww... I'm so happy you replied. You're the very first person to give me a reply on this platform.
And yeah! I'd definitely love to be as great as CS Lewis and my other favorite writers. Although that seems like a trip to the moon .
I anticipate seeing you in my ongoing novel, A Pastor's Daughter Diary.
Toodles
Wulin_Jianghu thanks
PeculiarPraise : I have checked and read your novel. Actually, I even gave a review on it. I haven't finished reading it, though. I'm pretty much busy these days and have to limit my time for reading (not work-related materials) . But I like your novel, and I really admire your boldness in writing and professing your faith. That's really excellent.
CS. Lewis is also my favorite writer. Well, one step at a time...just do your best and put your best efforts in everything you do; and God will help you to do the rest!
I simply love reading, so eventually writing my own story had been a dream of mine. Because of the pandemic, I found myself doing something I thought would be impossible. Now, I am currently writing two new novels.
Hundreds of authors inspired me to become one. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell was the first classic novel that I enjoyed. Danielle Steel and James Clavell were my fave way back then. Today, new authors, even amateurs, inspired me to work harder and give the readers a lovely experience, worthy of their time.
I am a product of the great experience I had with reading excellent books done by the hardworking writers of the past and the present. Just like you and the other writers here, I do hope to be a great one in the future.
i have not remembered many of the authors but for one i-fix-airconditioner's 'My House of Horrors' inspired me a lot to write, along with thriller paradise, and all realms start with python/World devouring snake
I'm currently writing a horror thriller called 'The Forgotten Thrills' and am planning to make a non-human protag one similar to python on survival island.
Wulin_Jianghu Thank you so so so much for the review. God bless you.
I totally understand you being busy cos each one of us have our personal real life to live outside of webnovel. Ha ha .
Anyways, I hope to see more of you.
You know, I was kinda scared that the sorts of people I'd meet on webnovel would be only those obsessed with werewolf, LGBTQ, erotica... novels. But you proved me wrong.
Thanks once again. Do have a great day.
I feel like I would get dragged for this, but J.K. Rowling. I do want to point out I don't agree with everything she says. I wouldn't say shes still my role model, but she was one of the people who motivated me to write the most. I absolutely adore Harry Potter and the world she's has created. It has inspired me to write my own novels, and create my own magical world. I also really love Stephanie Meyer as well. She has definitely shaped my childhood for sure. I think her saying she got her inspiration from her dream, gave me inspiration to write about these stories I wish were real/are real.
bishop1275 so good to hear that you use your energy in this hard pandemic time to write your own story. I also started to write because of the pandemic.
Margaret Mitchell, James Clavell : (thumbs-up) I've never read Danielle Steele but I have many friends who like her.
Good luck with your writing! Just do the best! But anyway, you haven't mentioned your novel here!
JustLetMeSleep Nice! It's good that you are planning to make a non-human protagonist and a horror-thriller novel! I guess readers deserve to read something different than just harem and romance :D
Wulin_Jianghu Once you read too many of the harem and romance stuff it kinda gets old and boring
Wulin_Jianghu
I was inspired to write fanfictions when I was in wattpad, i had a lot of them there. 'til i got locked out on my own account and have to make new one. my current role model author would be lottiara, 'cause she's one of the best writers in wattpad.
my current novels are: https://www.webnovel.com/book/her-friends_18865540305358405 and https://www.webnovel.com/book/the-good-times-and-the-bad-ones_19206099606789005
