Social_Butterfly52 Is it me or it's the same with everyone here? When ever I think of new ideas I just starts assuming my book will be super popular with the readers with how unique it is but later it leaves me disappointed to see my book not getting any recognition and readers not engaging with my book or trying to interact with me.
It's that kind of experience with original concepts and innovative writing. It's a lot harder to convince readers to commit to originals at this place because readers here are light readers. They only have enough time to read what they already know. It's the reason that trope and clichรฉs work well here. The energy to invest in new originals is thin. And the search function is buggy and not in favor of new originals. It leaves a chunk of the catalog undiscovered.
So keep writing and finishing the story even knowing it might not be read. A writer is as good as their next story. You can get better over time if you keep writing and reading to learn more about writing.
Also renowned authors have faced similar situations and asked similar questions. Brandon Sanderson wrote 13 books without making a single sale on them. So this indicates they weren't being discovered and read. If he gave up back then, he wouldn't be the author he is today.
