How come so many chinese authors hate African people? I do understand the hate against Japan and Taiwan. But really this is insane!!

Lets get back into real story writing and stop with this insane racism and bigotry. If the story needs it sure but if not just skip it.
Isn't it obvious? It feeds your ego when someone praises you, and since no one is, might as well praise yourself by yourself. It does yield results after all. What's a better way to attract readers than wish-fulfillment? Writing a good story? Why bother when you have a free-labor ticket?

Jokes aside, the thing about Africa is a stereotype. When you tell someone about a country in Africa, what would their first thought be? Desert! I can tell you, from experience, that most people will immediately think of a backward place, nomads and of course a desert.
It also feels good when you know that you are better than some people, and that's where the stereotype comes into place.
That is all I have to say, pretty trivial stuff that everyone knows, but sometimes, you need to mention these obvious stuff for them to come to light.

Honestly, the moment I read all these nationalist BS and derogatory stereotypes about people from other countries (African, Japanese, etc.), I immediately drop the story or manhua. They aren't worth my time and attention.
If they want to revel in their hatred and bigotry, they can do so in their stories, but I want no part of it.
ShoeInk Oh, I wish it was part of the plot. But nope, you never get the characters growing to like them. Instead, you have the characters beating up caricatures of other nationalities, justifying their violence by painting the other party as the worst villains ever, praising China as number one, and then the protagonists are heroes for exercising violence and expelling all the "evil foreigners" from the mainland. That, or the characters laughing at how the antagonists are sent to Africa (which is painted as this "hell" for some reason, and never actually explored at all in the series), or justifying why "evil people" should be exiled to Africa.
Worst of all is the hypocritical rhetoric. "All Japanese are liars, they are not as honest as us Chinese." Literally said after the protagonist got deceived and almost killed by a bunch of Chinese fraudsters who wanted to rob him. I don't know if it's meant to be ironic, but that sort of mentality never gets corrected throughout the story. Instead, the protagonist proceeds to kill the Japanese characters and is celebrated as a hero for doing so. Wtf.
I tried reading past the nonsensical hatred the first few times, but when almost every single series repeats the same nationalist BS pattern, I gave up after a while.
Well, people aren't stupid. They know what they are doing and I don't know much about china except from what I've read and seen online and through certain people . But it seems like its better to work for their country than against. And hate generates clicks, it always will. I don't doubt that there are authors out there that aren't like this, but ig they are just limited and are afraid to speak out? Idk. I would be too honestly, inflated egos cant be hurt.
Of course there are definetely people out there who are just pieces of shit. That's why I just drop a novel when BS like this happens. It's not going to change any time soon. So just try to find the actual good authors.
Anyways, being good doesn't pay bills lol.

Are you talking about web novel fiction? If that is the case, then it is very serious and shameful, not because a racist person is spouting hateful bigotry but because they are being published here. So, for the sake of clarity, have you read those on web novel? I haven't which is why I am very shocked. Also, name and shame, so that we can go and report those stories. Thank you.
Also, if you are author and on inkstone or author's discord, please contact CEs if you see such novels and report them personally. I would if I saw one.
ShoeInk I don't think so. They are usually manhua that I've read somewhere else (Apocalyptic Super System, for example, isn't on Webnovel). You have Almighty Master and Healing Hands Miraculous Doctor (though HHMD isn't that extreme, but the comments the characters make about Japan and "foot basin" country - I think it's meant more to be a pun than an insult - piss me off) here, though. There a few I can't remember the titles of, but I remember reading them elsewhere (on the Tencents website or Kuaikaimahua). Oh, I'm not the Demon King (a poor rip off of I'm not the Demon King's Lackey), which isn't contracted (at least I don't think so?).
I think other people can tell you more, but I usually drop and forget, so I can't remember most of the titles.
Yep lol no country is innocent in anything they do, that's why we judge the people and not the country. But then people generalize the whole people. Aint no way of winning in this wacky world.

I think you should report it in whatever platform it is and also tweet about this and use as many hashtags as you can. I hope that book gets taken down wherever it is. It just annoys me that people even with their education and technology today act like savages. We all have the same blood, the same organs, the same cell system. How can they even think of such vile and stupid things is beyond me. Also, so far as the readers are concerned, if a reader says I am ignorant, I don't know, I don't care about these, i don't care about racism and sexism and bigotry (trust me there are a lot of those idiots out there too) well, they are living a sad, miserable life, I promise you that.
And I said the last part because I have never seen a happy racist person or a happy sexist person. They are all sad and miserable and project their own failure on to others.
i guess many authors don't even know that their works are translated internationally, may be they'll be banned if they couldn't even trash other countries once per novel lol

TravelingPoet They don't hate Africans. Chinese authors usually ridicule Africans because readers like stereotypes, and it's easy to attract new fans. The recipe is extremely simple: put a little bit of stupid and fat Americans, stupid and poor Africans, stupid and evil Japanese, and maybe a pinch of stupid and arrogant Koreans. Add some face-slapping, humor, and you can write a 3k chapters with stable income.
It's completely normal, and you can find something similar in any country. If you don't like it - just don't read it.

Don't worry dude, I too had once started feeling that everything is sh*t, I would read few chapters and get bored, later, I realized that everything is indeed sh*t so I just read them for what they are, just don't use your brain cells and you won't lose them, simple really.
