What is the worst trope in novels for you?

RomanceFanatic028 Same as you. These novels are really annoying. Why would I waste my money, fast pass, data and time on a Novel that gets me infuriated at almost every chapter? I'd prefer such characters to be the villains in a book. Advertising abuse and dead braincells is a no no for me. Even a child knows to run away from a person who abuses and torture them emotionally.
I read one where the teenager got pregnant from having sex with without her knowing in a party hosted by her best friend, because she had a drink when she hasn't tasted alcohol before. The teenage ML who turned out to be the biggest douchebag I have ever read about also didn't know he had sex with her. (What????? Was their memories wiped out after they woke up? Or didn't one of them wake up before the other?).
The brainless story continued as the teenager gave birth to triplets. She received a bullet for the junk ML which resulted in her having seizures and loss of memory. (something like that). She had seizure one time with her school mate around who helped press her down when the junk ML walked in. He glared at them thinking they were making out. (Without mourning sounds, with cloths on and a worried face of the FL's friend. I haven't see anymore make out that way. On top of that, in a house where the mother and sister lives and her friends can just walk in at anytime because they were in the living room).
The FL's friend (who was making out with her) had the time to call on to him to help send her to the hospital but the junk ML ingnored him and left. (I guess he didn't hear the hospital part)
He rejected Calls from his sister and FL's mother countless times. When he finally heard she was hospitalized, he went to see her and met the guy (who was making out with her) in the hospital. His anger flared up and wouldn't listen to anything anyone said. He instead broke up with the girl who is now suffering because of the bullet she received for him.
I skipped the novel until the end just to know who married the girl and found out the same junk ML married her and she still got pregnant. The guy who loved her and her children didn't get to marry her. The End.
[unknown] You know, i can't even blame writers for writing storylines like this because they are writing this stuff because the audience loves it.
And mostly the people who read novels like this are teenagers. And some of them don't even know what they are reading, they just go with the novels with highest number of views.
But for this type of novels to stop coming out. People needs to avoid reading it. Because writers from webnovel or any other platform usually romanticize abuse. And makes it thrilling. (That's why 50 shades of grey and After like movies are famous)
I remember reading a novel, in that the ml was a kind of sadist. In a scene he was forcing himself on the FML and leaving bruises all over her body.
Thank God most people called out the author for it. But there was one person who commented that the scene was romantic. (I think that person was a teenager.)
But what can we say? If fanfictions/novels authors keeps gloryfying abuse then we can't do anything about it.

the beautiful woman trope, the "her pretty face was stunned, her vermillion red lips parted as her thin curved hips shooked" trope, the men fighting over women trope, the horny man no matter what trope, the shitty author trope. I make a mental scale for all the novels I read out of 10 and if they have these tropes they already down 4 points. It's fucking stupid to such a degree I can't even get angry anymore.

and what the hell is jade-coloured skin anyway? The only jade colour I know is Green.

Carciphones_02 There are two types rocks/minerals that are called Jade. Nephrite, and Jadite. Almost all jade mined in China is Nephrite, whereas Jadite is found mostly in Burma. Nephrite is almost always white, with maybe some tinges of grey, and other minerals interspersed. Jadite is the kind that has more colors. The most expensive Jadite is called Imperial Jadite, and it's the deep emerald green that we know to day and associate with oppulence. In reality, common Jade is known to mostly be Nephrite, which is much more common, and very white.
Personally for me the worst trope has to be the alpha and mate. They are so possessive to the borderline of abusive, especially if their is a alpha mate forced pregnancy trope. It just has never been my cup of tea, I don’t quite understand that one

I totally agree. It can get pretty toxic.
I get so angry when she still ends up with the abuser or one who killed her in the previous life...
