Any chance we can report horrible translations to Qidian and request for editors/translators to help in fixing it? Just feel like I've had to drop a lot of interesting stories due to horrible word choices/grammar. I don't think it's doing the authors justice to have readers dropping their stories/getting bad reviews because of bad translating/editing.
Translation Quality
1) rate them accordingly
2) guilt trip them into fixing their shit in the forums
3) stop all monetary support
its natural selection, baby. eventually the choppy ones will drop away making space for proper translators
yu_ba_bu_neng If only everyone rated translation quality properly....
TransN is a serious problem with this lol, and they keep getting projects, so many grammar mistakes.

Mickey Hey a lot of us have discord servers (https://sites.google.com/view/webnovel-faq/World_Portal), so if you report the mistakes you spot in these, they're very likely to be corrected. Even if you don't want to point out mistakes, if you just want to state some concerns, more TLs and EDs are receptive to feedback and constructive criticism. If you don't want to use Discord, then the forum is your next best option. :D

yu_ba_bu_neng Not really, most people don't give a sh*t about bad translation. Most novels i read here has some kind of problem with the translation be it small or big. Tho i try not to care about it much as long as it's understandable and complete. So the ones you say that will be eliminated by natural selection are the ones with really major problems to the point that they can compete with MTL in how bad it can get. But the ones with bad wording, recurring mistakes and minor faulty grammar will keep going as they are...
For example, history's number 1 founder. Somehow the translator mistakes the gender of the characters all the time. In one sentence they are depicted as 'her' and then the other 'his' and then the other 'her' and so on... But i'm way to out of f*cks to report every one of those mistakes since it's pretty much prevalent throughout the novel. I'm currently at the 240th chapter and don't know if the recent translation also has that same problem, but i'm not optimistic on translator suddenly realising that he is somehow mistaking the genders of the characters all the time. I'm even less optimistic on the translator actually returning to all the 600 chapters of mistakes to fix every goddamn one of them. So yeah.....
Mickey I'd agree with yu_ba_bu_neng on this one. Even though N0xiety has a point, with enough low ratings and a flood of comments on quality because it's really that bad, you CAN force the translators to go and take a good look at the old chapters. Word of warning though, it'll probably completely stop updating for a minimum of 2 months if it succeeds, and even if you do get decent quality shit, don't expect people to thank you. The super loyalists will hate you either way. In fact, I'm STILL getting rude inbox messages for my comments and 1 star spam on Martial Arts Master because somehow I apparently managed to sink the novel all by my lonesome.

The first 500-600 chapters of God of Slaughter were translated so bad, that even me that english is not my native language, felt like it was killing my brain.
yu_ba_bu_neng Nope. Natural selection doesn't work here. Know why? Cause natural selection doesn't work in the real world. So people with "questionable" intelligence or simply just ignorance are around. Look at the original creations works. Not even translated, and the English for 99% of them straight up suck. Full of mistakes. Still get 5 stars. Still gets reviews filled with praise. Tldr: natural selection only works if the selectors are smart, which they aren't

N0xiety I think they just copy pasted Silver's translation & started from the point where he stopped.
I was really looking forward to HN1F being picked up again, but when I reached chapter 160 (which was translated so horribly, that I began to wonder if I was reading mtl) I just stopped reading it. I wonder if you read MMORPG Martial Gamer? This is also translated by the same group, Sparrow Translations. Every single chapter is full of typos. Only God knows what the editor is doing. If they spent a few minutes, the typos can be easily dealt with. Otherwise, they could just use Word's spellcheck to deal with it. But, no, they don't give a damn.
