If there are no readers reading your novels, I doubt you will continue to write, after all, who are you writing for if there is no reader?
I only have 17 chapters, I'm a beginner, it's normal for me to have only 10 readers at the beginning.
I'm not a writer, I'm a reader. Only in the last two weeks I started writing.
Keep writing your novels like a cold machine there. Don't waste time being hateful.
Went to the discord apparently their aren’t enough PC readers to make a difference and they only care about English readers.

Not quite. After the chapter is published, what we write ends up with another meaning or other mistakes. So we need to read what is translated to us and edit it at the same time. Now we can't do that.

This guy is a big hater here at Webnovel. He acts hateful because he already has his own fan base.
I always saw him attacking other authors, but I always ignored him, as it was not of my interest. Now that I've started writing, at the first opportunity, this guy comes to attack me with nonsense words.
Why is Webnovel the biggest platform on the web today? Doesn't he know it's because of the interactions between readers with authors? And, above all, the interaction between the readers themselves.

This is a social-network, right? I have so many features to interact with the readers, it's everything that is social. This site is a social-book-site, where you can comment on each paragraph, truly amazing feature I haven't seen anywhere else (like discussions open up for a mere sentence, how beautiful is that?)
& Authors love this community for the added value it gives to books, HONESTLY: I thought my books are mine, and mine only, BUT, if most readers hate a twist-plot, I learnt that I can change it, because I publish a book for the readers to enjoy, and this is just 1 major example I learnt here.
- I saw books who are absolutely influenced, and co-written, by the author+readers, which was my first time seeing such an art, and I adore this site to open-up a new art-form, even if not intentional by them, yet taking the web-community off now ... I feel it won't come to existence no more ... this won't be WEB-novel, just novel, here.

[clarification for my side: I downloaded the APP, it is a great one, and I learn to use many ways to keep creating here, even without the website, but now I run on 2 devices in the same time, which is cumbersome, so I still in the same thoughts ... you should think again about this update, and remember the authors in it, as we wish for the option to at least have our own novel open to us in the browser] [Inkstone needs an update if webnovel gets an update, and in the same time, which is already due]

The brilliant mind who made this decision to force everyone to download their app should have foreseen this. If they had first tried to translate the app into the languages of the countries that don't have a translator in the app, this would have been much easier to accept.

Die_Jobb I am not against it since I write from my PC, the point is that it is not so necessary since even from the app you can see how the published chapter turned out.
And no, I am not defending this absurd decision to deny access to the platform from a PC since it is stupid, I am only going to your comment.

I still believe Inkstone must have an update if webnovel gets an update ... it was inseparable parts for writing ... the 'preview chapter' in inkstone ain't worth nothing, I doubt anyone press this button, ever.
[I guess in 1-2 days we'll know about the impact, by readers activity statistics, how much the update really influenced... so I'll shut-up till I see the real results of it...]
... But for writers, right now, I wish to at least :
Change the 'preview chapter' button, in published-chapters, to the actual web-page of the chapter. (in inkstone)

Man this update really killed my mood all of the fanfics saved on my account library.......gone. Now cant evern access it in read mode!!!!!!! 
As a writer I've always made a point of uploading my work on multiple platforms. The more mirrors I have of it, the less likely I am to lose it entirely should one or more of those platforms go down.
Having said that, WN's most recent update is a major, major hindrance and entirely counter-intuitive. The lack of basic formatting options (boldfaced/italicized/underlined) can be worked around to an extent, but considering how so many writers (myself included) refer to our existing chapters while writing new ones...
Well guys, I'm going to repost what I said on the other forums. I think this is a sign we need more options. Me and my friends got tired of BS like this from WN and other writing sites, so we made a new site called Audertist Novels and we use a community monetization which means that your community actions like posting a chapter, reading, writing, commenting, rating, etc, all earn you coins that you can cash out for real world money.
