It looks like the translator pick it up because it ranked high in the Monthly Ticket Chart. Not due to it being popular or good. But because the author gamed and manipulated that chart by buying Monthly Tickets on Taobao. A person with money can easily buy votes to rank high by spending a few thousands US dollars.
Even the New York Times best sellers list can be gamed.

ssound5rs New novels were never added to the voting page. There's only like what, 4 novels on the voting page now? People had to choose amongst the stories available and had to pick between the lesser of two evils.

Offtopic but anyone know why some novels we "vote" onto the site, while others just appear? At the end of the day, all novels up for vote already have translators working on them all we're doing is deciding the release order, but i noticed some novels appear without a vote.

Mute Kind of confused me too, but I just accepted it as a form of Qidian's way of doing things, I guess... On a side note though, this thread is so confusing for me... I understand both sides discussions... but like, if the novel is bad, and Qidian is losing money, then... that's really on them... and if people dislike it, they'll rate it really low and hopefully there's some of a function to the rating system that when the rating goes down really badly, then Qidian will probably think about it. But for now, I think whether this is someone just raking in on the cash and leaving bad worked translations or what not... or just some passionate fool that loves the novel even if he's in the minority of the amount of people that love it too... one can just accept it. If you're so upset about this, just review the novel and that's really all. I think...

The main point is if you don't like it, don't bother to read it again and you don't need to slander it hard either it's the novel, author or translator. What you need to do is give some advice on review to make them better. If you insulting them to the core, you just make their spirit down to zero and they will not able go any better. There are some humans have a feelings very sensitive and if you destroy them with you insulting, they maybe got into trauma and stop chasing their dream neither become translator or author. It's also can make them closed their socialization in both internet and realty. I know it will only make Qidian lost some money due to bad story/translator but it didn't mean both author and translator can't improved better.I think Qidian just give them a chance for it to got better. Also not everyone don't like this novel and i'm sure there is still have people who liked this novel.
Honestly, I think they can do what ever the hell they want to. It's up to you to decide if it's worth picking up. Qidian International themselves decided that this site would not aim to be for profit for the time being and translators are free to translate what they want to.
