Striking he should watch what he writes.... i wouldn't bother listening to someone, who talks to me like that as well....
I really don't see why people cry and cry it is already known that from some point onwards translations have to be paid and that they aren't cheap... Either go buy those novels on amazon... I think some finished are published there... or read them slowly using the free SS or read originals or don't read anything here.... It is not as if they hide there price policy. it is visible to everyone and everyone can decide if he wants to stay here or not...
Btw. i myself think that lower prizes or abo model would be good too! Authors want in the frist place as many readers as possible. I think it is better to create more money through more readers that pay less than through few who pay a lot. Bigger audience allows the authors to build a name for themselves making it easier to publish books later on... so it is a win-win....

yk3 many of the novels that get translated are finished... you know the number of chapters! you know how much SS they want per 200 words... you know that a few chaps are free in the beginning so the reader has a chance to see if he likes the novel. So now tell me how can't you know the circa prizes of those novels?!? Yeah, they are expensive but saying you don't know what it might cost u is wrong! u simply ignore it because you can't stop reading!!!! and it is good that you want to pay 50 for it but they want more... because you don't pay only for you but you pay as well for those who read it for free SS...

angkong rofl. That's priceless on a few different levels. And it's even realistic, or quite possibly optimistic.

Gamercat dude, I'm sure QI only expects each registered person to read only one premium series at a time. So 1 premium, free (check if it's less that 100 chapters on novelupdates), then ad lock the rest.

So if you have 18, you better start culling. Lots of us have when the paywalls came up.

It's pretty funny they're starting rec posts, really. Increasing readership on a title if it's free or adwalled just makes it one step closer to a paywall. I don't care to participate in that nonsense, not when the dumb autounlock feature bugs out on me so often.

Ply Ply has a point, stories with 1600+ chapters are basically novel diarrhea. Endless reams of text going nowhere. TV soap operas like The Guiding Light are over 15,000 episodes long and you will never enjoy a satisfying conclusion. $70 per month is an addiction. Consider putting your money to encouraging authors to write quality over quantity. Enjoy a story that reaches a conclusion that you can discuss the merits of, rather than complain about its cost.
At least TV soap operas are free. Good novels like Game of Thrones stimulate intellectual conversation. All I read from posts of premium novel readers is endless complaining; authors and translators not meeting deadlines, cost of unlocking chapters or "filler, filler, filler", etc.
At least with soap operas, commercials are sponsoring them giving me time for a quick bio!

Well, nothing free it is? Everything come with a prize... The more pages u want to read, the more works to be done by the author or the translator...but, for a suggestion how about Qidian choose a day with a discount or any happy hour...btw, I understand your feeling when you got excited in reading but stuck at that pages because of money and so on..for me, what I will do is look for another story...hihi...it just my opinion...don't be mad at me ok

CKtalon thanks for your suggestion. I have check it but most of it not the book that I love to read. So, back to the square one. Well, I don't really mind about that as long as I could read the story that I like.

CKtalon now I rofled hard. You chery picked the only question you can answer like a boss lol
There are no tgif locked since ever

Comic books are examples of authors who write great ongoing stories. Marvel and DC Comics make a fortune from spinoffs of their stories. Each comic is a part of character development. Yet each comic tells a complete story. Why can't the talented authors here make an effort to emulate that form of story telling. Short novels of quality, but like comics are linked by a common theme, be it the world, the romance, the characters.
I think it would reduce the chapters of endless repetition and inspire creative writing. Readership like with comics, might scramble for each weekly editions release and some of your better stories might become collectors items, the readers gravitate to reread often. It's hard to even remember great events in a 1000+ chapter story. There could even be fan threads of authors works where readers gather and enjoy your weekly releases together. Releases of one or two chapters daily might be the way some of webnovels readership enjoy reading, but for me, I like to sit back and immerse myself in the authors world.
Am I the only reader here that wants more?

BattleLord which comic has been complete ? superman DC or spidey Marvels been going years until now, never ending not even when they die, compared to naruto, DB, one piece ect they are ancients, if u translate superman story to novel, 100.000 chapters maybe not enough

and about not remember event within 1000++ chapters ? well Idk about u, but me sure remember about linfey, xiao yan, meng hao and many more, every time I close my eyes, I remember most of their journey

try read gate of god, then world online and finally kingdoms bloodline, u will know what I mean

@op if you're gonna spend $70 a month then you might as well just sub to KU, it's only $9 a month and you can read as many published novels as you can read in a month

yk3 okay but $50 for a webnovel is complete and utter BS, the chapters better be made from actual gold if I'm paying $50 for 300 chapters

Q will NEVER care about this. They will probably try to milk everything they can out of this for as long as they can(several years at least).
Reading a complete novel with bought SS is like 400+ USD lmao. Reading it with free stones will take you around 1 year to 3 years depending on how lucky you get xD.

Gamercat they not going to change :D so i will say ww.o :D i hope they dont delete my post :D
