rainedear111 It's dissapointing that I can't continue to read my favorites due to high rise of fast pass needed in 1 novel.

Hmm, I think you're misunderstanding something about the system here. Could you please tell me how do you think the fast pass works?

If you're a premium user and have been using SS (now coins) to unlock chapter, it stays the same (except for the part where they don't offer you bonus coins anymore when you purchase coins). The fast pass is only an extra that you get to unlock a non-privileged premium chapter for free.

And of course, you can rant, that's what the forums are for, for people to share opinions, but expect that there will be differing opinions as well. So, don't get upset when someone counterargues, and don't take it personally. It's just the internet :)

rainedear111 When a locked chapter appears on another site unlocked - that's no rocket science figuring out that it's piracy going on.

It's not that I don't get your sentiments or understand your situation. I do. However, we have to try and understand the other situation as well.

We don't know stuff. Some authors here might have this only way of earning. They are giving up their rights for the life to earn some amount here. You understand how severe giving up your all rights is? One of the main reasons can be that they are in dire need of money because trust me, every writer loves his/work enough to think a lot of times before even considering giving up his/her right on her story.

Now, if people go and read stuff for free on pirated sites (which is too uncool to accept in my opinion), what is that author going to earn? What is the point of him/her going premium, giving up their rights? There is no point and no, MGS money is truly not enough.

Piracy can't be accepted. I guess more than the writers, the readers should be the ones standing against the pirated content. We respect the hard work of writers, don't we? I am sure we all do. We respect everyone's hardwork and when we do, none can accept piracy doesn't matter if it is about the text, images, videos or any other thing for that matter.

A lot of serious leaving talk. Maybe WN rolled out too much change in one go. šŸ¤”I've mentioned somewhere else. They could've communicated things better.

When peeps mention Greed, I can't help but think of Greedfall now. šŸ˜„ That game is seriously addictive.😳

Cantiara I dont care about differing opinions it's their point of view. I am just concerned at how I can read more privilege chapters without paying so much. I can read till 50 or 100 chapters of new novels but what's the point if at the end of the day you cant even read until its completion. Your views are your own I am reaching out to webnovel to be more considerare like they did before in giving more free gifts for check ins and bonus .

rainedear111 what's the point if at the end of the day you cant even read until its completion.

What do you mean with this? Why can't you read until its completion? I really think you're misunderstanding something about the system here. But I'm not sure what. Because you still can read your favorite novel until its completion, whether or not you purchase privilege.

Veronica8 Tell me about it... @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL if you read this... You need to up your game in communicating with your users... Forget the ranting free readers, but there are a lot of confused readers who don't even know the difference between points and coins and EXP, and I think you have to give @The_Cheese a medal for patiently answering them one by one! No, better yet, give him free coins, so he can read his comics!

Cantiara I'm sure when you cut and try to undertand only that part you will misunderstand. Anyway thanks for your time don't think too much of it. Sometimes simple words are being mistaken as too complicated.

corales Except when the quality drops on a locked chapter. What do you suggest then? I think Qidian is at fault there, they probably stole chapters translated by someone else and then their translators ruined it.
If food in restorant is shit, I can get refund in most cases. Here? Not likely.

              rainedear111

Sigh... I was not arguing with you, I was trying to help. But it's fine... Have a nice day :)

rainedear111 thank you for suggesting (ą¹‘ĖƒĢµį“—Ė‚Ģµ), but as much as I want to read the novels outside. The fandom just prevents me from doing so— the hilarious and insightful paragraph comments (that’s what I live for) , how could I let go of that

Lol šŸ˜‚ dont mind my silly suggestion I didn't know that it's a pirate novel app my bad. Anyway I saw you started last year here too. Yeah the thing that kept me here is my interactions with other readers that i been messaging in our reading ventures with novels we read along the way too.

I am just going to end my words here by saying - don't promote pirated sites. Don't support pirated sites.

Piracy is illegal and not something people should support. It hurts to see your story on a platform you didn't put it over. It leaves the authors feeling helpless that no matter what, this would never stop. It is infuriating that the thieves, yes that's the exact word for them, feel not a slightest bit of shame in stealing others' content and putting it on their sites without even bothering to seek a permission but wait why am I even talking about that? Thieves don't ask you before stealing your stuff.

Don't read stuff if you are on a tight budget. I know it sounds awful but if we like a particular thing in a store and we don't have enough money to spare on it at the moment - what do we do? We wait. We wait. We do not go and take that thing temporarily by supporting thieves who steal it.

burntpotato Lol šŸ˜‚ dont mind my silly suggestion I didn't know that it's a pirate novel app my bad. Anyway I saw you started last year here too. Yeah the thing that kept me here is my interactions with other readers that i been messaging in our reading ventures with novels we read along the way too.

Why need to move when we still can read for free?

MotivatedSloth So you say you spent 110 usd, while using ALL possible bonuses. Okay, let's count it. As far as I remember, before the last update, you could get up to 40ss/day (10 daily on average+5+5 for both votes, +10 for ad and 10 for multiplier), meaning that you used up 1200free ss just from daily missions. I will intentionally leave the weekly reading and weekly bonus out of that, cuz I have no way to properly factor it. That means you read 11 000 + 1 200
= 12 200ss worth of text, meaning that it was more or less 2 440 000 words (since there are times when you pay entire SS for less than 200 words, factor those bonus coins from reading and weekly bonus here). You said it was 700 chapters? That brings us to a point of about 3.5k words per chapter, and no way in hell they would cost only 6ss(cents) per chapter, as that wordcount equals about 18ss/chappie... UNLESS YOU GOT 60% DISCOUNT. So you got on average 30times worth of normal novel, while paying about 3.6$ for a single 80k piece of work.

This whole math DISREGARDS the free chapters at the start of the novel, only from my benevolence, cuz if I were to add let's say 100 free chapters to the numbers, that would mean that a single chapter was even longer.

And I can definietly disagree, I know that I'm male so I deserve to die according to modern line of leftist thought, but I survived on instant noodles and frozen pizza (exactly 2ounds worth of insta food daily, 3 noodles per oound and frozen pizza per pouind) for 2 months straight, losing about 15kg at that! (not that I would recomend this kind of diet, my stomach almost stopped working when I came back to my parents sweet sweet home where the food was ample)

First, I did say the math was wrong. Second, regardless of free chapters, bonus SS, et al, I still spent 110 USD on half of a webnovel. Third, I also said I didn't regret it. Fourth, why bring up sexism when none was stated in the first place? o.O Fifth, almost killing yourself by eating that diet is not a good argument. XD But I'm happy you survived it.

MotivatedSloth I honestly gotta ask, do you promote selective reading or are you just THAT much of a mook.

First off you jumped down MY throat about self entitlement, that's what my post to say was about since like shay my initial post was about HOW MUCH IVE SPENT HERE.

You also threw alot of other accusations my way and I'M the conceited one?

Like Shay my spending on Wn with th top up this month has crested a grand, canadian. So 110 usd plus free currency for me was actually 220 or more given exchange rate.

So as a PAYING CUSTOMER having some selective reading pissant up in my grill over Xmas leaves me less than respectful.

So merry Christmas motivationalmook and shove your holier than thou opinions UP YOUR ASS.

Darth_Xiane Just let that Sloth be, he is entitled to be always right. So far what i have read and seen this Sloth is defending WN against any negativity, calling others entitled cause they are free readers etc. Nevertheless it's fun to see him ranting around though.
