You'd assume a premium novel would have a increase in quality with the increase in revenue, but that's doesn't seem to be the case as they are just pumping up unedited chapters...

I don't mind mistakes in fan translations who only ask for donations (without forcing them), but Qidian is a company making profits with translations and the translators are employees by contract. This is no longer a donation towards the fan translator, they are selling a product, so I expect quality for my money.
Additionally to the quality, I highly dislike this system. Why should I buy premium chapters when I have to wait just as long as the free readers, when I cannot sustain the money flow?

if Qidian really hosts multiple fan translations, then it's in their own interest to clearly state the differenece between the 2, since they wanna build a professional platform and earn money with it. Since they haven't that high influence on those fan translators as on contractual translators, they cannot control their update rate & quality that much, so it's in their interest to clearly mark them as fan translations without any guarantee. If I cannot see any indicator I will think of it as a product by Qidian, hence I expect quality

If the contract has a guideline for quantity it surely will have one quality. Even if not, you missed the point. It's that fan translations don't get regulated like the paid ones. If Qidian ignores their releases rate, then ignoring the translation quality isn't an unlikely event.

He wrote few and it seems like some people searched and only found 2 novels with the fan tag. But don't forget how Qidian screws up with their tags on novels. The number could be higher, especially with all threads about novels who broke the quantity rule already without any punishment.

A novel that just went premium has some terrible editing and many people voiced their complains and nothing done. If it is that quality we can expect on premium then they are not getting a lot of people happy.
Lomacris some people think we aren't happy with premium because we need to pay for the translations, but they fail to understand most people won't be willing to spend money if the quality ain't good. Also, the translators and editors who were doing the translations for free were doing a really good job before Q took over.

I guess you mean Super Gene? Wasted five SS to read the chapter and then the comments. Seems like the readers only have an issue with the formatting and not the translation quality.
Lomacris contractuals don't either
They already fired entire translator groups in the past for bad quality and did the same recently with a shitty translator (MAM), while translator who got reported here for breaking the quality/quantity rule got unscathed out of the issue. Seems to me that some people do fan translation without the tag.
i dont mind paying for the translations
its just paying by paypal cost people living outside of US a lot more than the asking price
also the quality of the translations needs to go up otherwise this is not going to be worth it
there should also be a way to earn ss by watching ads. the amount earned doesnt have to high just 2 or 3 ss per ad
that should earn a profit for the premium chapters

Are you even reading our posts?? I complained about the editing and I think that formatting falls under the category of editing.
Even if they are just complaining about the formatting it still cost us money, and they should have at least checked before posting like 10 chapters like that....
Ebu8b They did not fire the translators for MAM, iirc he is going through a QA. And before he was forced to stop translating he kept posting really bad translated/edited chapters for a long time. Almost all off the novel is badly translated...
There are also a lot of novels with really inconsistent updates for a very long time and no one does anything to them
Actually I bet there are many people that spends on the novels just that they are
1) ignorant
2) wealthy
3) want to support the authors
4) think it is cheap
5) not on forums
