On this beautiful Friday morning, I was so looking forward the new selection of trial read. As some of you know every Friday Webnovel releases a number of novels to the selection of trials to test out if they're suitable to be published, usually it a brand new 60 chapters of different genres of novels but today it's just recycled junk from previous trial reads that was removed, now here is my question, WHY ? Why bring back those novels if they already failed, or if they did not actually fail, why remove them in the first place ? I just want to read new translated novels as they are generally of higher quality than original ones, but I was so so disappointed.

Perhaps there simply aren't any other better new novels.
I'm just waiting for my previous faves to get their turn on the carousel! At least I'm spending less this week! Maybe I'll buy the new Butcher book instead!

Although I'm disappointed as well, it's nice to see the good dropped novels come back. Hope that this isn't just a one time thing
But they removed 2 trial books that were highly recommended but others with less votes are still there...
Plague doctor is back. That’s all I need to say and it better not get killed a second time. For those who haven’t read it, I would highly suggest it. It’s a medical system novel but don’t let that deter you from experiencing the utter horrors that happen behind the scenes. The author crafts a dreadful, foreboding atmosphere as events play out and I loved every second it. I’m not gonna spoil anything so go read it if you’re interested and support it if you like it. There is a lack of horror/thriller novels on Webnovel compared to romance, cultivation, and system novels. But there are a few, one of more prominent ones being My House of Horrors. Plague Doctor is a gem that I would rank in my top novels of all time even though it only has the 60 chapters. It captivated so much that I’ve been complaining about it since it failed the trial which happened maybe months ago. And I’m here writing all of this out so the tragedy that befell it before won’t happen again.

Lyandy10 Yes, Plague Doctor is back. But, how about the selection process? It's still doesn't have the biggest top fans count. I'm clueless about this. Anyone could enlighten me?
Thing about the top fans is actually opening the list and seeing who contributed what. A book could have only a hundred top fans but aren't they worth more if they each gave 30 stones than a book with 200 fans that only gave one stone each?
While on the surface more equates better... quality beats quantity.

I would prefer if every friday new trial books would be a mix of new ones and old ones with a second Chance
Maximilian I wouldn’t like it being every week. Every few weeks would be fine like maybe every 5-6 weeks but every week would be too much. Plus mixing new and old would be too complicated as well to see which is more popular.
Darth_Xiane There can be more than 100 top fans. The list only shows the rankings of who contributed the most, meaning, who spent more coins. Spending coins on one chapter would give you X amount of contributions while someone who unlocked every chapter with coins would have a higher amount of contributions. So it all comes down to which novel has more coins spent on it, I think. That’s just what I think, I think someone said there are more factors at play and that things like reviews, ratings, and comments can be tampered with easily so they aren’t taken into account.
