Vudis I like Qidian too but their prices should be fair.Lots of readers are students who do not have a job.Everyone says if you read 5 premium novels you can keep it up with fair prices but in the future, there will be more novels and more premium chapters and you need to spend more ss.And they are losing reader already they should change the system soon because I saw one of the pirate sites for "QIDIAN".They made a library for premium novels already.

    GregLuck let's see.
Let's assume from the novel you read, 5 of them are premium, with around of 8 SS / chapter.
So we assume that once you read a premium novel, you just don't get any benefit from free chapter because you read it to the last chapter available. The average chapter / week for each novel, are about 14.
Now that takes us to the cost of (8x14x5)= 560 SS/week.
You got login bonus (~10), vote bonus (5x2 = 10), watch ad (~10), all in all you got around 30/day or 210/week.
Well, we take it that most of your spirit stone are exhausted by the 1st week. So with a 560 - 210 =350 SS/week or 1400 SS/month.
Now, for 1400 SS/month the best option (for now) should be the $10 for 1500 SS.
After 11 March, that would be $30 for the 1000+500 SS per month.

That is in under the assumption of you got at least 30 free SS/day, only read 5 premium novel with an average 8SS/chapter, and the bonus spirit stone did not expired before you spend it.

GregLuck :D I saw someone said the name but in a minute they deleted the reply

From what I can see rn.

If you buy SS and use them on a premium locked novel, you're gonna have to keep buying SS if you want to read up to the latest chapter because the free TL's that are released are the chapters you've read before you bought and used SS. Unless you want to wait a million years for the novel to catch up.

I fucking wish that they just did a netflix/spotify type of business model and not this money-grab shit. I'd be down to pay for that without any complaints

Oxy Following 5 novels is not that much tbh

Oxy Who do you think you are ı don't understand?why he has to has a job?maybe he is student maybe he can't work?We understand you retard have a job, you can shut up your mouth.you are just customer why are you talking like you are QIDIAN boss?He just wanted to show that this is not a fair price.

GregLuck That's not a good comparison, Harry potter is an old book series, so the price is much less than it used to be.

Heva https://www.amazon.com/Books/b?ie=UTF8&node=549028 you can look all of the prices and yes Harry Potter is an old book series but what about books about inside this site most of them just a student like me trying to write some novel and you can look their rating and reviews about their edit. And ı don't want to talk about present ı ı want to talk about future, there will be more and more premium novels and they can't even
guarantee the release will be stable.

Heva most paperbacks are ~8€ with ~100k word count. Don't mistake them for hard cover books, those are more expensive. Physical books have production and distribution costs which are added to the price, that's why ebooks are way cheaper. Their content is also qualitatively better, be it the editing or the story void of those huge fillers and repetitions.
Even the japanese light novels which are professionally translated to english are in the same price range as normal books and ebooks, why doesn't it work for china?

                  Oxy
                  I m a student, got a part Time job
And with rent bill etc... got 100 ~150$ per month
And i dont count the food...
So yeah, for me its expensive...

Yakumo It's because there are some people who can't or won't pay and so the minority (I assume) has to make up the difference. It's not a bad system since there are a lot of free releases for those that can't pay. Again there are some disadvantages which I wish would be addressed (the free chapter release not affecting paid subscribers being the main one).

Making it so more people can afford to help would also be helpful but there is a middle-ground somewhere which I personally think would be met by letting paid subscribers still receive the free releases (allowing small chapter purchases for those who can't buy all Premium chapters but still want to support the novel). While also rewarding the support with a chapter.

Yakumo Japan takes part in the fixed book price agreement
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixed_book_price_agreement
China is basically not going to introduce something like this under communist rule.
Speaking about communism a chinese politician said this once:
"The Marxist in China today is not a stubborn, dogmatic, and outdated 19th-century old man, but a dynamic, pro-change, young thinker. We have a flexible approach."
                  Do you notice something. ;)

Vudis As I understood it, this law/agreement is there to prevent dumping by big book stores, which is realized by a fixed price set by the publisher and every store has to accept that price. So this law/agreement has nothing to do with price by word count.

Yakumo yupp 12 spirit stones for one chap is too big of a ripoff
