damn, you are still going strong. take a chill-pill. we see you hate harem and it might just be the worst thing in existence like you say, but what does it even matter? why are you so obsessed with hating on something just because it ain't to your taste?

      It's been good to see what exactly people hate in harems for me, as I decided (because of money, ofc) to have harem in my novel. It's quite a relief to see that as of now, I avoided at least the main horror cliche of "every girl falls for MC for no goddamn reason".
      Considering that MC is a murderous demon from Hell who looks only more ugly as the plot progressess, this cliche would've been very hard to pull off, since I'd have to scoop all the brain out of my head first.

        Actually, there's nothing wrong with being a Simp. I mean look at Batman, the Simepst of them all. I don't see people complaining.

          Good Harems don't exist, huh. Interesting take there.

          I don't read much here, I'm an author only, but I've read or watched enough anime/manga to know, that there are actual good harem stories.

          One of my absolute favorite stories ever, is Highschool DxD. Romance makes sense, even the reason Issei (MC) is stupid to recognise that these women like him has a (more or less) logical reasoning behind it.
          He starts out as a perverted nobody, so yeah, the entire boob thing is just fanservice, and without it the story would be just as amazing (minus for some of my favorite plot points), but that's not the same with the harem reasons.

          Here's a generic breakdown for why it makes sense:
          Rias - Issei was the first person to look at her as a girl, rather than the sister to literally Satan.
          Akeno - Issei was the first person (after her parents, plot goes into it, I don't wanna spoil much), to accept her as a half-breed, which has made her super-concious about it, throughout her life.
          Asia - he literally saves her life.
          Xenovia - she's sort of the weird one here, but even her part is relatively reasonable. He saved Asia's life, which was kind of a big thing for her, as well as he's more or less just a test subject for her, to 'mate'.
          Koneko - Once again, the whole acceptance theme of literally the entire story.
          Ravel - again, sort of a weird one, and I can't really reason, as I didn't read the entire light novel yet, but again, he managed to pull her brother out of a really shitty place, so I guess it kinda counts.

          But then again, Issei sort of chose one for himself, and he looks at the rest of them as really great friends. He literally wants to be the Harem King (mind you, more than likely a reference to One Piece), and he does that, but he doesn't use them.

          In my opinion, Highschool DxD should be the format harem stories should take.

            Yeah, if you dislike harem, it's perfectly fine. No need to turn it into a personal attack against someone who likes it. Liking harem is all right too. Chill, bro.

              What if the harem is like the ottoman/osman/usman empire harem, doing it because god's allows it and you need heirs? Nothing about lust, but more about political. The women will be secluded from the world, when they want to go outside then the husband need to guard them.

                I agree that most harem stories are trash, But I feel that if its written by a skilled author it has the potential to be really interesting. Imagine a story with psychological horror and harem that would be an amazing story if done right

                    Dzeeck I know you're trying to troll, but I did actually read an Indonesian writer (a big fan of High School DxD) who wrote a harem story where the protagonist's harem included his own mother (who gave him a handjob in the bath while he was still a seven-year-old kid...or was he four?), his aunt, his cousin (basically his aunt's daughter), his sister, and...a whole load of incest and girls and their mothers.

                        Misguided_Rooster Actually, the guy was a reader of mine, and he begged me to edit his story. I agreed, not knowing what I was getting into.

                        After a couple of chapters, I told him, "No, sorry, I'm not going to edit your story again."

                            All of these book shouldn't be called Harem (Ottoman called it because it means sacred-ish, but its from the word haram), instead it's should be Haram (forbidden).

                                  There is so much trash grammar around here that there is no need to pick on someone with good (if not perfect) grammar. You would be better off disagreeing with the content on that post, but I also agree with her there.

                                          It should be 'and' or 'so'. If you used 'but', then the first part would have to be "harem is my thing".

                                          And yes, we don't get along. You restarted the thread many days after by responding to mine that didn't need a response. And you have a habit of not only always disagreeing with me, but a big problem with not listening (you've done this to others, too, and I'm sure they noticed at the time). Bashing? Also, I was being sarcastic and copying your sentence simply to point out that your "brussel sprouts" example don't make sense because no one will consider harem "healthy." Also, obviously it was a typo. I meant "Harem isn't my thing, BUT I'd not tell people to stop reading them." Somehow I forgot the "not" but hey, instead of pointing out if there was a typo or you know, disagreeing or whatever, you decided to attack me. No one bashed you, I certainly didn't. I didn't attack your intelligence, I only disagreed with you. Unlike you, who told me to go back to school. Then only did I respond with an attack of my own.
