are there good enough? I'm curious but have little time to waste trying, and since we know the novels standard per se is not that high I have a great distrust about them.
UnknownDaoist that doesnt work like that I pay for Netflix and there are times I dont watch anything for more than a month because I dont have the time or Im traveling, most people would not go to the hazzle of signing in and out
but what about the rest tho? I read Library and is always top 1 novel most of the time and is really good at the beggining but then is so so too with master teacher this master teacher that FFS the rest of the world are dummies and only master teachers counts.
At least shadowhack it gets better with time.
I vote for shadowhack too and if you read the comments you will know that it was a novel that was much liked from the beggining and attracted much hate thast's why there are so many 1 stars comments much of them old and from people that dindt even read enough of it.

Fullmetal this one had a lot of potential but ended up being stupid af I totally given up on it a long time ago plus aside from the beggining as the novel advance the farming is less and less relevant in an economic sense.
I actually wished for MC to develop his territory using the farm but after the dirst few arcs the novels stop being about developing his territory and start going about MC developing himselves over and over again I would recommend you The World Online for development of territory, economy and military is way better..
Venerable_spam that she said that is too much info to store for qidian to to give a free chapter per day from where you are in the novel and that's why they have to make it so the free chapter is global and not per person.
To that I replied that is not actually too much data because they only have to count how many chapters you unlocked on a novel and thrn take the global free chapter and sum up how many chapters you has unlocked to keep track of everybody individual free chapter with only adding a single variable. Not rocket science.
as for the example i can simplify the numbers but not much more to being easier to understand.

So all novels unlock a chapter a day.
You can unlock more with SS but then you have to wait for free chapters to catch up before having more since free chapters are global.
To keep track individually instead of global without too much data as she said in the comment I quoted I solved the problem adding a sinple counter in the code that keep tracks of how many chapters you unlock with SS. So if you unlock three chapters you are three chapters ahead of the global free.
So there us no need keep a registry of every single user reading a novel to give then a free chapter from where they are locked but to simply keep the count of how many chapters you unlocked as for if you unlocked three chapters and the current global free is chapter 10 then if free chapter was individually tracked you would have been in chapter 13 that is 10 of global free plus three you unlocked so keeping individual track wouldn't be difficult as she has said and QI knows it since is like programming 101..
Detro they just have to store a single counter that can bw made on a single line of code that counts how many chapters you unlocked. After that they just have to put a variable when you load the novel that counts global free chapter plus how many you unlocked and the result would be your laat free chapters and from thrn on it would be locked
i.e. you unlocked 100 chapters when the last free chapter was 146 so you are now in chapter 246 you dont read rhar novel for 11 days so when you are back global free chapter is 157. so 157 plus 100 chapter on your counter you can read for free till 257 how hard it is? how much info there is to it?
Citlalicue who us expecting things for free? but this way of implementing things is stupid.
First if I dont want to wait to read I have to pay Im ok with that system the problem is if I pay to read ahead then I habe to keep paying forever or to wait all that time that I pay to skip anyway because Qidian is not guving me more chapters per day till free readers catch up with me, which means I will need to keep paying forever till the end of the novel or wait all the time that I paid no to wait, isn't it absurd in your view?
And let's not even start talking about the costs that are stupidly high ig you have to pay starting now till the end of a novel that have 2 or 3 THOUSANDS chapters.
I would gladly pay for reading since I enjoy it, I would pay as I already do for netflix or amazon music, just give me subscription that unlocks all the content there's no excuse since productions and operative costs for text are way less than for audio visual content so they should be able to make it work for the same prices I'm all in for Premium, BUT REAL PREMIUM not this microtransactions freemium this model is the exact oposite of a consumer friendly approach to to a business model and the only reason they get away with it is because they are based on china where$ nobody cares about consumers rights.
So pay for their work and their service yes, premium? why not? but this? sure not!
BishopDearg no because if I pay and unlock a 100 chapters I dont have to wait a 100 days and can keep reading, but after those 100 chapters if I dont pay for the next ones I have to wait 100 days till I get the first free chapter so Im waitimg the hundred days anyway just a bit later and paid for nothing..

Morinu I almost agree with you I can pay to unlock chapters and I would but the system is shit I mean I would totally pay for SS to unlock chapters if I can keep getting my free chapter a day too, but if I pay for 100 chapters, next what? I have to keep paying for all the novel and there are chinese novels with 2 or 3 thousand chapters or not getting anymore a chapter a day for three months till qidian catch up with me, I'm totally in for this system but that flaw is just too much you should get a free chapter after a day summing up the chapters you unlock otherwise except if you are goong to pay for all chapters till the end of the book you would end up having to wait anyway all the days that you paid no to wait, just later
