          If you could kindly assess my novel Godking Ascending the Heavens, that would be a great boon!
          It is my first novel and the opening chapters are a bit rough, but I would like to know how the book stands as it is.

          It would be awesome if you could also let me know how many chapters the assessment was based on.
          This will help me figure out how much the opening chapters might be dragging the story down (if so) and if my latest chapters have shown improvement.

          A note on technical quality: I have often cut out prose and long descriptions when I felt it was cramping the pace of my novel. Even after editing I was told by readers that the pace of my story is slow. Despite this, I am now trying to reincorporate longer descriptions etc. as I felt my attempt to hasten the speed was cramping my writing style. Funny that. I'd like to hear what your opinion is on the "prose vs. pace" debate!

                  Book, is it possible for return users (aka me) to request a pure assessment based on CF and PD? Also, can the scale for each category-for CF/PD only- be expanded to 1-5? I realize that this will probably function purely as a writers aid of sorts. Let me know your thoughts.

                      SouthToiletWizard Awwww....That's true. I usually distance myself from people who makes me feel that way. If feel like sht with them I might as well feel like sht by myself. I rather be a wallflower instead of a light bulb. But that just me. Plus I'm always broke, so there's noway I can do your approach anyway.

                          How long will the Body Swap story be? It's the only one up on the website so far. I consider short stories to be around 10 chapters or less where one chapter is around 800 or more words. This is just a rough estimate.

                          As for the chapter length covered by assessments, it's all the chapters available---the same for a review. The only difference between the two is that I look at the story more closely for specifics in a review.

                          Jamison_C For you good sir, I will assess on a larger, specified scale. Since I already reviewed your story, CF/PD only won't be too hard.
                          And if you have 10 more chapters since last time, I can always re-assess. Additionally, since you were one of the beginning stories, I can better reevaluate how it matches up with a now more numerous collection of stories.
