20$ subscription for an unfinished book is expensive enough, it's not subscription system fault, but your internal system fault, come on man how can you increase your user count if you're not user friendly

I am just going to change my ratings on the play store because now that most of the books have so many chapters locked, just for me to catch up would cost me hundreds of dollars. For free users. This app is no longer worth it!

Still waiting for the refund on the subscription that you charged to Google. It's been over a week since it was charged. Which was apparently after to posted this stating it was cancelled. Of course not sending out a notice to anyone. So for all those payments you got from Google pay subscribers all we have to show for it is locked chapter and you wanting more.money to unlock them again

So when are.we.getting our.money back. Cause this whole thing seems to be about money and the lack of it. So now we have to wait for you to give it back. Seriously a screwed up system your running.

So youre going to penalize people and force them to either stop buying ss to read because of cost because people are wanting a higher cut? Then pay them or work out a way you can select 6 to 8 novels for a set price and dole out the money of a subscription to them or set a lower price allowing more to subscribe. 24.99 is very high. I could get a subscription to a monthly makeup box for that much. I can watch netflix for 10 a month. Anything i want i can binge watch without excess money paid out. I get it the writers work is important but isnt the consumer as well? I say you streamline it and reduce cost and have people decide what level of membership they want for what they can afford, need, and use.

    Kitty1031 well if i had to pick a fixed number of novels i'd expect a compensation plan in case i dont get the promised chapters since i would basically be paying 25 bucks for sth like 4-8 chapters a day which already would be expensive and recently most novels cant keep up their promised chapters per week atleast the ones im reading constantly miss the mark.

    Also i bet all those free translation groups are experiencing a spike in traffic and patreon support since webnovel screwed it up again.

      WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL what are the parameters that need to meet to get started? Was the money not enough to go around? Is webnovel unwilling to stop production on low income novels? Is this being run like a business or welfare?

      The costs is substantially higher than Netflix, but I would argue that webnovel has a lower number of subscribers, so an increase is justified. I was spending $50 a month which I had stopped because it was too much to not buy /not see the end of a novel. I loved the $25, and auto-sub. It felt justified. As I will read 15-20 books this year that most wont see an end in 2 years time. Meaning each book is making well more than I would spend on a digital book online already and my bank wasnt broken.

      You may consider the YouTube producer models. Not the income but how they are rated for income.. on subscriber base and community interaction per video.   Use this for your auto subscription content. Then new novels will gain traction by their soul stone reception from daily handouts and gifts.   Just an idea

        I hope you bring back the subscription I don’t have an issue paying $24.99 because I also read comics. Please bring it back soon.

            I've been reading the comments here. I can see the situation from both sides. As a reader of novels I loved the subscription. Once a month payment and I was done. The author in me who has just signed a contract can see it from the author income perspective particularly as I know that my novel will be unlikely to ever reach the top 5 in the power rankings in a week.

            Thinking about it, rather than it being unlimited chapter unlocked, maybe it needs to be a subscription based around a number of chapters per month. You could opt to buy each month on the subscription X number of chapters, and it would take into account comics as well. Then there would be a number of levels based on the number of chapters per month. The subscription value could be set at a rate that is effectively a discount for SS as an ongoing purchase. If you need more or less you can alter your subscription for this. Over and above the number of chapters you buy you use earned or purchased SS.

            Going that way would not only unlock chapters read under the subscription, but give authors their income and allow the reader to have a known cost per month based on the number of chapters selected.

            For example 30 chapters per month (ie one chapter per day) subscription might say cost $2.50 per month. We the reader pick our chapters to read. (Note this is based on an average cost of 4.5 SS per chapter, ie 135 SS per month and a cost of $0.0224 per SS). Readers get a discount, authors get their income. The issue will be working out the pricing as it needs to be cheaper than purchasing SS to unlock chapters (especially for someone like me who has so many premium novels in their library - What can I say I love to read).

            The outcome is everyone wins and it resolves the issues for why it was stopped in the first place.

              Benjamin_xD Almost $100 a week??! Dude, dont do that. All their new 'announcements' are like marketing schemes to get us more and more addicted to novels. They got you good. Look elsewhere until they fix their sh*t.

                @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL ... this brainy marketing ppl should also know that u should to loyal to your customers too for you to make profit in long run... if you keep manipulating the readers for your profit alone then there’s various platforms to fulfill our hunger for reading... hope you keep that in mind before trying your marketing strategies...

                  ryuu_kun yea you right, l'm same with you. Personally i not have problem if subcrition elite is disbain, but at least let me keep the story that i have read still unlock. So i'm not will fell very disappoint, angry, and sad like now.
