It said that locked for privileged chapters. What does it mean ?
I’ve checked for ‘One birt two treasure” it will need:
1. 250 SS 5 chapters in advance,
2. 750 SS 15 chapters in advance,
3. 1250 SS 25 chapters in advance,
4. 2500 SS 50 chapters in advance.
Please advise about this.
And what about if we just want to pay SS like before. We spend SS as per chapters that we read.

Tenny2905 You dont have to buy it if youvcant afford. Just relax. If you purchase the priviledges, you will be allowed to read in advance than others. Even if you dont buy it, thr routine updates will not be affected at all. You can still get what you usually can read everyday.
This seems broken in the app though. When trying to unlock the chapters, it just fails.
You also need to pay to unlock the chapters after getting the privilage... so you have the privilage of paying twice

Paying 250 to unlock normal chapters that you pay to read normally is robery, it has zero value for money for users.

I think that the privileged chapters are misleading, I pay 400 SS to unlock and I thought that I will be able to read the next 5 chapters, but I was wrong. I need to pay to unlock the batch and pay per chapter again? Is not easier just to do a mass release? Privilege will be to pay for the batch of unlocked chapters or a similar system as when there was a subscription. Or that the privilege works on multiple novels.
It is true that no one is forcing us to buy the "privilege" chapters, but it feels like webnovel just want to get us to spend more SS in a silly way

Nowhere in the message that they mentioned that you need to still pay after unlocking the page which is misleading and that meant you have to pay double for the chapter.

Illusionist Will feedback, but I think it has to do with the keeping track of what chapters are unlocked, so that when Privilege expires, the chapters will remain unlocked for the reader.

How do i get a glance at the updated chapter? Do i still need to buy the priviledge ? Why cant I buy & read the chapter thatI want as per previous settings? It is so frustrating because I could not view the new chapters for One Marriage Two Treasures

Illusionist I was actually thought I was understanding it wrong 2000 stones for 15 chapters which can cost at most 150 stones is insane if I wanted to read advance chapters as I am unable to Control Curiosity I would rather go to MTL rather than this insane privilege. Sure they said it helps Translators and Author but this definitely not for me
This is a bad system, I understand that you want to pay your authors more, but this is extremely missleading. You're basically paying for a one time mass release, and you still have to unlock the chapters. One of the high ranking novels had a "privilege" price of 2500 stones for 25 chapters in advance. That's 100 stones per chapter! And after you unlock this you still have to wait for regular releases. I understand this is optional, and also that it's a way to support the author. But again, this is missleading, and there's still no other system in place to incentivise the readers.
Dante_The_Immortal It's not for a lot of people. Generally, each book will probably only have about 100 or so Privileged readers at most.
This is the most stupid system created by Qidian so far.
To read advance chapters you have to pay tons of spirit stones and to read those advance unlock chapters, you have to unlock again with spirit stones.
Qidian just pisses off tons of high paying customers with their scam, you not only lose paying customers, but you also made a mockery out of them as if they are just a flock of sheep with tons money.
Supporting the author is another thing but blatantly scamming their money in the name of supporting an author is very disingenuous.
If my guess is correct most of the author signs a contract 50% royalty rip off.
Which is 50% of the money goes to the Qidian pocket.
