Crashing threads, random comments, random threads. In other words just F'ing around

Tomoyuki Lol. Town cryer as in messenger. I've been researching way too much historical fiction references these days. You're cool. Go all out as much as you want. I enjoy your posts.

im still dispairing over the new update, so far the only app/games/site that use virtual money that became better and easier over time that I've seen is Line Play (not rlly) and a game from my childhood AJ but that's just it. other place the creators just gets more and more greedy

Tomoyuki Another way I see this paying for privilege chapters is like purchasing an economy airline ticket. You're only guaranteed a ride from point A to point B, but not guaranteed the choice of seat. If you want bulk head, premium seat at the front or aisle seat, you need to pay additional money.

Tomoyuki you do know it's a matter of reading comprehension. i don't wanna offend anybody but a lot of people should know they have more complains than brains.

Reinesse I'm very sorry. I know I'm stupid and I complain too much. I'll try to limit my posts as much as possible.

Imagine taking the time out of your day to explain something to people who can't/won't look it up themselves, and then calling yourself 'dumb' after.

I got 1 fast pass yesterday, while I got three today. 1 for check-in, 1 for power stone vote, 1 for energy stone vote.

SamStrike_ You can get it from the PC website.

So if you check in on the mobile phone app, you get the usual 5 (+5 for multiplier), and 5 coins each from power and energy stone voting.

If you check in on the PC website, you get 1 fast pass. If you vote on the PC website, you also get 1 fast pass each from power and energy stone voting. Then you can go to the app and get another 5 coins from the check-in multiplier.

Tomoyuki But does the fast pass I get from the website works on the app too? or does it transform in coins?

SamStrike_ No, it works on the app. It does not transform into coins. It's a different currency, so to speak.

So, Fast Pass is equal to 8-13 SS. And it's supposed to be a part of substitution to free SS.

Previously any reader could have ~18-24 SS from login + multiplying (now it's 10), and 50 per week (now 30, or 20? Let's take 30), and 5SS per day from watching a video. So, overall, any reader will have 125-153 SS less per week (that's 10-15 chapters per week), and instead, we get a Fast Pass that we can get by inviting friends (which is limited to 10 per account, afaik). And some mythical tasks, which we may or may not get later.

I can already see how thousands, no millions of readers registering here to use all of those features. I can't wait to strategically use one of those Fast Passes, that I might get one or two per week. That is so exciting to be a strategical reader.

That is, undoubtedly, great change. It couldn't be any better. Even if I try, I think I'm can't come up with greater change for a system. Way to go Webnovel, can't wait to see more exciting features and changes that waiting for us.

                  /s

                    Sigh...

I started this thread to explain and clarify stuff, and still there are people who jump in and complain and throw sarcastic comments instead of clarifying or asking questions. Is the change good? I dunno. is the change bad? I dunno either. But all I see, despite me trying to explain how this new things work, is people complaining about the reduction in spirit stones/coins, wanting the old system back, without actually trying to understand the value of fast pass or how it works. If you don't know how it works, please ask. Don't just make assumptions, whine and make sarcastic comments. That's not productive at all.

                    Again,

Tomoyuki To sum it up, a single Fast Pass allows you to unlock a chapter for free (so it's the equivalent of 8 to 13 coins). It lasts for one week, so make sure you use it. You can get 3 Fast Pass if you introduce a friend. As of right now, you can receive up to 3 Fast Pass a day by doing your usual daily missions (checking in, voting with power stone, voting for energy stone) on the PC site. If you prefer the coins, use the app to check in and vote, and you'll receive 15 power stones (20 if you include multiplier rewards). It depends on what you want.

I don't know where you get this idea of mythical tasks that we may not get later, but it wouldn't kill you to be patient and wait for more news and information instead of launching into an angry, sarcastic tirade and whining. There's a difference between "do you know what these tasks will be?" and "and some mythical tasks, which we may or may not get later."

It's not that I want to defend Webnovel, and there are a few problems that annoy me. But the complaints people make without even bothering to find out the truth, the whines and complaints that can be so easily avoided if they actually bothered to clarify instead of making assumptions, leave me no choice.

Also, let me do the math for you. Let's say previously any reader can have between 20 to 25 Spirit Stones from log-in and multiplying (and watching videos). We'll count the high-end and say 25 for simplicity's sake. Now, instead we get 3 fast passes that allow us to unlock 3 chapters as long as they are not advertised stories, plus 5 spirit stones or coins if you log into the app and use the multiplier (so you essentially get 3 fast passes + 5 coins in the current system per day). Let's take the low end of a chapter, I don't know, maybe one that costs 8 spirit stones. Usually, unlocking 3 of those chapters cost you 24 spirit stones, and you get one left at the end of the day, because you used to receive 25 spirit stones per day. Now, you unlock 3 chapters with 3 fast passes, and you still have 5 spirit stones leftover per day, which is a bit more than before.

This is not even counting people who read longer chapters such as those that cost 13 spirit stones, or those webcomics that cost 13 spirit stones per chapter. For those who read those stories, they can only unlock 1, maybe 2 per day with the original 25 spirit stones (if one chapter happens to be shorter and cost 12 spirit stones). Now, you can unlock 3 chapters' worth of 39 spirit stones, and still have 5 spirit stones/coins left over. If you don't have the phone app, and completely rely on the PC site to get spirit stones, then no change there. You get 3 fast passes and 3 chapters' worth (anywhere between 24-39), while in the past you only get like 15 coins a day (because PC users don't get the multiplier). Still an improvement, unless you're only using your coins for chapters that cost 5 coins each...and even then, nothing has changed.

Well, if you're not happy with the fast pass, and prefer to get the old coins/spirit stones, you can just get them normally by checking in (plus multiplier) and doing the missions with the phone app instead of the PC site. As of this moment, anyway. Things might change, I'll update you if and when they do. For those who want that back, then yeah, you're definitely seeing the reduction in daily spirit stones, and I feel your pain (though it's a reduction of 5 because the only thing they removed was the video thing, so you still get 20 Spirit Stones/coins a day).

Before you guys start whining about how the old system is better, about the reduction in spirit stones or coins, or about Webnovel being greedy (which I do agree with, they are a corporation, of course they want to earn as much as possible), actually do the damned math, clarify what's going on and get your facts right.

I honestly feel like it's a waste of time for me to write up a long explanation to clarify how the new changes work when most people don't bother reading it and jump straight to the forum to whine and complain about the changes without realizing that most of their assumptions are wrong.
