So with chapters costing 12 spirit stones for Library of Heaven's Path, they expect people to pay 24 cents for every chapter from now on (assuming 500 spirit stones for 10 USD, which it will be when "bonus" stones from purchase is gone). That is 1 dollar for 4 chapters worth of content. With just 1 chapter daily that is 7½ dollars a month, PER NOVEL. 15 dollars for 2 novels, which is the same as a netflix/spotify/wow sub/most other subs. This is damn expensive. I would have nothing against if there was a sub option for like 10/15 dollars a month (max) for unlimited access, but this is too much. Heaven's path alone with 14 chapters a week will cost 15 dollars a month to read. And it is not like I have a lot against spending moneys on my hobbies, I currently have 10k+ spirit stones, but this price is just too much. With it being that high, chances are way more people will be scared off and just go to other free alternatives. While the reading experience here is the best, going down on the quality and save 15 bucks a month will surely convince many.

Welp, I dropped LoHP. My favorite novel, but I'm not paying you shit, in this world where dozens of other novels exist for free.
I'd be down for "Get chapters a week early", but I'm gonna drop any novel you put on the "Slowly build up more and more premium chapters until 95% of the book is premium only" system.
So seeing as now once you pay SS to read a premium novel you have to wait weeks or longer for those free unlocks to catch up to you, thus making it so premium readers get Zero free chapters a day; Could you please make it so that unlocked chapter(s) each day is the latest unread locked one, and not all those read ones?
It'll be bad once a few more months pass, and once you read a premium novel you'll have months and months without a single new chapter being unlocked for you.

Fuhrer My main complaint is that you have to pay to keep up. If I spend real money to buy chapters, I should keep getting free chapters. Instead, I could buy 2 months worth of chapters and then have to wait 2 months for the free releases to catch up to me.
Krazyguy75 That does seem to be a real problem, hopefully Webnovel/Qidian will come up with a good solution for it. For now we just need to keep our Premium subscribed novels to one or two, that can still be done for $5-10 a month. Just wait for the others to release to free.
Still hoping they adjust the unlock system so we don't have to wait for free chapters to catch up when we decide to take a break from Premium or switch Premium novels.

Webnovel complains why that the "Ads are not enough" even though something like "Youtube" exists, and got tons o f creators making millions off of it, while Youtube itself makes billions, and it's all free content.. but nah ads are not that good, well maybe because they you only put ads on the last 2 chapters, which is useless, if you've put ads on all of your chapters, like permanent ads "Unskippable", here you go.. easy money.
But of-course you're choosing "Lose popularity" path, even people with 10k spirit stones are complaining.. good luck with that.

Why is everyone saying they have to drop the novel as if the Premium will block them from reading the novel? All they did was add +10 chapters novels ahead that you can read by paying SS. It doesn't stop your current reading rate of 1 chapter per day.
Everyday 1 free chapter + 1 premium chapter, those who use SS to catch up to the most recent will have to unlock new chapter with SS while those that do not spend SS continue reading at the same pace.
It is exactly the same method as Patreon that if you donate you read up to X chapters ahead, QI charges per chapter while Patreon charges monthly. Don't want to read chapters ahead? Don't be a patreon/spend SS. Just read like normal.
Release more premium chapters for IM and RTW please. Do LoLT, RITF, and JoL too as premium chapters. I have too much spirit stones and they are expiring in a month plus :'(
What mass release, this is no mass release. My spirit stones stockpile did not even dwindle. It is still piled higher than Mt. Tai. Let me give you a piece of advice. If you really want to force a reader like me to purchase SS which I am wiiling to do so (as a patreon supporter) You better release 100+ chapters in advance and put them all on premiums. That would be eye catching. Lam and Starve come on guys!

Letrico yeah but on patreon if the translators release 4 chapters a day, patreon subs read 4 a day while leeches (like me) read 4 a day as well. With this system spirit stones spenders can read 4 a day while leeches are reduced down to 1 a day, and if say a leech decided he wants to read a chapter ahead by spending then he's gotta wait two days to read the next chapter. It's essentially the same as the patreon system except for that they're effectively kinking the hose for the cheap leech bastards
Letrico nope it's not the same. Patreon users read x chapters ahead, but free and patreon user can read at the same pace. On the other hand premium users can read at the previously normal release rate whereas the free readers are crippled to 7/week. And since the release rate is faster than the free chapters are unlocked, the premium chapters pile up. If there are 7 free and 7 premium chapters week, in 2 weeks there are 14 locked premium chapters, in 4w 28c and in 8weeks 56chapters, so the pile becomes bigger and bigger. If you read premium chapters for 4 months and you don't wanna spend money anymore, you have to wait 112 days for free chapters to catch up...how is that fair to someone who paid for 4 whole months?

Zogarth1337 1 chapter a month is around a total of 70-80 thousand words, which is the length of a published novel. So $7 is a pretty good deal. You are also forgetting the free 30 SS daily, so you can technically read 2 premium LOHP chapters for free a day.
