        The coins and passes you got at the very start are used unlock content. You got them for free, thus "free reading".
        Sorry, but it would be illogical to unlock the site and bypass monetization for a whole week for new users.
        You have been owned and fine-printed.
        The free read itself should be some kind of ticket/pass you have, to redeem on the novel you want to read for free, but i never had one before so can'y be sure.

          All in the title. Why is it back? Last time the forum was full of threads telling how terrible and annoying it was.
          It's been reverted to the 3 second ad, but yesterday it's been put up again.
          As a user, the one thing i want when i open the app is to see my library. I don't want to, and shouldn't have to to some precision clicking to avoid getting dragged forcibly to some novel frontpage i don't want to read!
          Also, the icon to close the new screen is the already used recommandation icon, and not an X, who would tell us straight away how to close it. Closing it doesn't take us to the library.
          Additional point: most of the time, my last read is a book i'm waiting a new chapter from. I'm tapped out. Bringing me to its latest chapter again in this manner is pointless.

          Tl;dr : new welcome app screen very bad. Need two or three clicks+wait to get to library now, compared to 1 before. It's a total user experience failure and WN should feel bad for it.

            Pure degeneracy. When we say go back, we don't mean pile stuff up, Webnovel...
            Action economy is really really bad. We now need 3 clicks to get to our library, and your aim better be true...

              This is a true downgrade... I'd rather go back to ads. It's just like the "allow sharing position" popup each time you check your profile... It's obnoxious.

                Also the incessant spam about activating localisation. I don't want to. Stop sending me the popup, damnit.
