I don't know about when this change was made, but it really hurt my future plans of saving 20k points to read a few of my locked novels that I've been holding back on with cups of tea while on vacation. Now supposedely they are removing energy voting fast pass? Does that mean they are gonna limit us to 2 passes a day and have us blow points (3k points, limited passes) that we raked in by reading for hours and days on end saving for better prizes for 2 or 3 fast passes?
Will there be any new introductions and rewards for check in? Or are we just removing more incentives like in November/December? The membership doesn't even appear to make up for it in my mind as even that has limited rewards despite the price. Still waiting for them to release the "other future gifts/incentives" that were mentioned upon release of membership before I spend money on it.
I've been trying to save up points for those 3-day and 7-day free novel reading passes just to discover that they REMOVED all but the "redeem for overpriced fastpass" options.
Why.Do.You.Hate.Me
Now I have 10k points that will expire if I don't waste them on a few fast passes. That's hours of reading new novels, some terrible, to farm points in hopes of a big splurge of reading and a short vacation. Can anyone tell me the perks to the discounted first month on membership? It says benefits include an immediate drop of 500 points and a total of 310 extra coins earned over the month. I don't mean to sound entitled or greedy, but is that everything they are offering atm? I'm just thinking that it's taken me over a month to save over 500 points If I get 500 for free every month, it'll still take a while to get 20k (like 10 months, if they don't expire or something) I haven't earned a coin in days since they switched to passes, only premium chs would really necessitate for something like that. It does say "more coming soon", does that mean I'll miss that if I paid $7.99 now? For 9.99 I could get more coins than the possible extra from subing and accept the loss of points, but still can't afford to do that either way.
I was honestly hoping they would do something really nice for the holidays to counter the update hate but this just bummed me. please spend money, and take a look at this shiny new badge! fortunately the stories im reading now are cheaper, but unfortunately I am using fast passes for 6 coin ch's when they could be used for more expensive ones. And whats up with "free" novels still being premium and costing me coins and passes? Is that just how it is? It should be "free to an extent"/ or just "farming" enabled novels, because they are no different from other novels that go premium and lock 90% of the ch's aside from having ads.

Big sad
Ive found the few sections displayed in the store that show some novels that reward farming points for reading, but they mostly appear the be fan-fics. I'm not too interested in Harry Potter fan-fics and was hoping someone would send me suggestions of half decent novels that reward farming points? (Currently reading "rise of the undead legion" and it's pretty good.)
theRealZehel you remind me of the guy from the movie "split", as they have many different personalities/personas.
You have to figure out where these things go after updates like this. You did not receive the coins used to exchange for ch, but rather "points", which I believe are added to your "farming" pool. I do not believe the reading time rewards are experience points, but rather they go towards your farming points which can be exchanged for week long or half-week free reading passes (my personal observation). The only problem I have with this is that those prices cost anywhere from 4,000 to 20,000 farming points which would take a SUPER long time to accumulate. I have read 470 points worth and it took me about 140 ch of "the rise of the undead legion" and a lot of coins/SS. Taking that into consideration, adding in reading time bonuses and if I can even find another half decent farming novel worth reading. It would then take me about 8-12 weeks to save 4,000 farming points (If I make 400-500 every 3 weeks). Or in other words, 40-60 weeks to save around 20,000 points (and that is for a full week of free reading). So these farming points are to be seen as an investment of our time and money in exchange for a week of reading anything we want.
Hopefully.
If these reading time "points" are experience points, then it would definitely slow down our points accumulation over time. But that's just how it is now. All we can do is accept the decrease in daily/weekly/reading rewards and pay up or settle for reading less throughout the week and having more free time to unfortunately have to spend on friends/family/living life outside of webnovel. On the other hand, you could check-in and save your rewards through the week and spend 1 day a week immersing yourself in your favorite novels rather than using them immediately for 1-3 ch a day and feeling disappointed after each cliffhanger. I don't believe there is even a reward for having a long check-in streak either. Good luck to everyone out there, and Happy Holidays! (Don't spend too much money on webnovels and remember to buy tasty snacks/drinks every now and then!)dwvande it worked for me, but the reward is 2 coins per ad. Ads usually appear every 6 pages for me so I might watch 2 or 3 ads per chapter. If you look at the rewards in the store, half the cost and you see how many ads you have to watch to exchange for them. Multiply that by however many pages you have to watch to see an ad and you have how many pages you must read to afford that reward. Mine is 1,250 pages for cheapest reward and 60,000 pages for the most expensive, which is impossible as that would cost me thousands of Stones/coins to read that many pages
Daoist_4300034905 you should look for the farming pages in forum. Only certain stories have it enabled. Got to the "featured" and then to the "free" tabs and look for "farming" novels. The ones there are the only ones to my knowledge that give rewards for watching ads.

Daoist_4300034905 they've cut weekly rewards by about 130 stones/coins, or about 6500+ if you look at it in the long run. They are also cutting weekend check in from 10 to 5 btw. So instead of a Christmas surprise or a thanks for investing, we get slapped in the face with reductions and are being forced to pay more and use coin farming to watch garbage ads.

Georges one more thing, they are cutting weekend check in from 10 to 5 as well. So that's about 130 stones a week they took from weekly check ins and rewards. Or over 6700 stones a year if you look at the long run. It's Christmas season, when people spend more and businesses can make more. And instead of adding a gift or saying thanks to creators and readers they slap us with reductions in rewards and try to force us to spend more money to replace lost rewards.
Chrisco to find the novels that reward coins for watch ads, go to the featured and then free tab. There you will find a section labeled "farming" novels. Also, you should know that unless they changed it you only receive 2 coins per ad. Taking that into consideration, half the total required coins per each reward and that's how many repetitive scam ads you will have to watch in order to redeem coins for rewards. One ad usually appears every 6 pages, one ad provides 2 coins, rewards cost 500 to 20,000 coins. That means 250 to 10,000 ads and 1,500 pages to 60,000 pages to redeem for rewards

This update is a money grab attempt, forcing users to buy stones and cutting down on access to free rewards that can be used. Instead of getting around 25 to 35 free a day, now you get 15 to 25. Also cutting back on the reward for reading time, making it less tempting to binge another story to stock up on Stones to read that other story you love so much.
This will hurt creators as well, as traffic will slow down now that readers have less stones to purchase more chapters each dayXystOblivion definetely works for moble, i made like 12 coins the other day. I stopped using it after I saw the exchange rate for the rewards. I don't know if I misunderstood it, but it looked like it would require you to watch thousands of ads to save enough to get an ss discount for a few days. Didn't seem worth it to spend half my daily reading time watching crappy repetitive ads about mobile games just to receive 1/1000 worth of coins towards a specific reward. The periods of free reading caught my attention, but they seemed ridiculously out of reach to bother working towards. Just reading in a day I might read around 50-100 pages depending on the day and ss I received for tasks. It would take me no less than a year and a half to two years to save enough for some of the expensive rewards.
Sorry for the massive response. I am also confused about the farming mode so yeah, any insight is appreciated.I came across an add every 5 to 6 pages of a novel I started this weekend. I got 2 points per ad, which doesn't seem like a lot to me considering the exchange value of rewards. 20k coins for a week of free reading would require you to watch 10k ads (for 2 coins each) and that is if they appear every 5 to 6 pages. So you'd need to read something like 50-60k pages to be able to claim that reward. At least that's how I perceived it, I could be wrong.
