WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL you know i was quite dissapointed with this. I was saving up some money to continue my subscription. Well I did notice that if you continued with your elite membership you might lose out some authors/translator. I suggest if you ever read this that you might put some restrictions about this subscriptions like you can only choose 5 novels for your unlimited reading experience for one month, I say 5 cause there are translators that are slow to update, Some that the promised bonus chapter queu is piling up but they can only update 3-4 times a week. Or you can also lower your subscription fee just lower someone commented above. Or you can do both. But I do hope you all officials can make some quick desicions so that we readers, your customers, can experience this New elite membership.

Could you maybe get out subscriptions for a limited amount of novels? Or make it possible to buy novels till the end?

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I think it is unfair of you to lock 2 months worth of chapters that we paid for(buying the premium) because you decided to cancel the premium on your own. Never mentioned that it was just a test. It is unfair to us who paid for it without prior knowledge of it being a test. This is just bad planning on your part.
weaselwunder if you used CC, have you filed a chargeback? You should be able to file it under goods and services not received and give this post as evidence with an explanation that this is an official announcement but they seem to not know how to refund people.
What do you guys expect? This is cooperate.
First they give you the product like drugs once your addicted enough, you have to pay the price they ask there is no use until they have competitor.
MaryFord I have filled for a refund via Google because these people refuse to reply and almost 20 days now with no refund or reply. If enough people that got screwed over with this make complaints and file witn Google for a refund they will be removed from the Google play store
Very unprofessional to cancel immediately with no warning. It was not even advertised as a beta but a full-fledged feature.

So.... When will you guys return the Elite subscription? I've registered and subscribed for this app, paying more than $30 monthly just to enjoy unlimited access no matter how expensive it is and now you guys are telling us that you'll revoke the Elite subscription??? This is more costly than Netflix, yet I still subscribed since I'm a huge fan, but you guys are telling us that 30bucks plus is still not enough?! How disappointing... You should have came up with a better marketing plan and gotten your finance team to formulate a better plan before you started charging people... $30 monthly is already unreasonable, yet people who love this app still diligently purchased it monthly and now you've gone and revoked it! Tsk.... Really really disappointed. My card has already been charged, how the hell am i gonna get a refund??!! Refund us or return the Elite subscription!
This is absolutely ridiculous, the chapters that we've read should at least be unlocked because it's absolutely ridiculous that I had premium and I read through all those chapters and now I can't go into re read those because they're locked now and it's going to cost me soul stones which I didn't buy because I didn't think that the membership was going to expire. For those authors that where seeing a drop in income maybe make it so that where the chapters have to be unlocked with ss but have it be like a 75% reduction for members or something so that way it a super small amount of ss, but just straight up ripping membership especially the short notice not a very good idea especially with how expensive it was priced in the 1st place. Also there was no official announcement that I could see or even noticed on the app that this was happening because I'm not a person that normally checks the forums a lot. I just noticed this post because I was like what happened to my membership I should check the forums to see what's going on and I see this post. Feeling quite peeved probly not gonna wanna buy the next membership for a while just because this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This was extremely poorly handled there should have been a much clearer notice at least that this was happening.

Dont understand why it was necessary to switch off the service. If you need to make changes then do it? Like how long are your processes for executives decisions. Wow
deacon_burns tbh, unlocking all the read chapters under the subscription was never an option for webnovel to give you. There's no way to tell if someone speed read through a ton of chapters or loaded a bunch to read later on.

klmorgan while I can understand authors need to look out for themselves (most can't do this for free, no argument there) that is just not a good deal for the consumer.
Think about it this way, I pay $18 a month for Netflix(4K, etc) for that I get all the shows on Netflix, not 'select 10 shows or movies' for the month.
Honestly getting an amount based on ranking is just realistic, no company is ever going to pay the little guy as much as the AAA huge popular authors. Print authors don't just expect to make money from books that don't sell.
That being said, I hope there is some solution found that benefits everyone without just making the subscription service into another version
of buying SS, unlimited or nothing at all.
honestly. i prefer this app because it's the first novel app i have since it launched. but if it continues like this i have to think other app for sure.

Whelp I was just reading one of my novels when I went to the next chapter it wanted me to unlock it and was like wtf I thought I had a sub so I could read without having to unlock. There wasn't anything on the app saying that subs had gone away and nothing on the main website either. I only managed to find this thread by googling webnovel elite subs.
Disappointed in this quality of life going away. Guess its back to the underground railroad for releases. At least with elite subs I could support the writers but there's no way I will spend 60+ USD on stones for unfinished work. And work that has tons of grammatical errors, spelling errors, etc.
